Latest esm and esp updates

This is the latest esm being used, version v2.64 -=here=-.. Details of previous esms and various notices follow.

This thread will be the source for all future esm updates as mediated through sandor, our general file manager. Only post here if you are posting up an esp for sandor to merge to the final esm.

sandor will update the esm every 2 weeks or so. Please keep checking here so that you are using the correct one. It also helps if you keep track of the forums to see whether you're doing something unnecessary or working on the same area and thus causing conflicts.

[B]IMPORTANT NOTICE
- Please only use the latest esm with the latest archive. I will date these so that you know which ones to use with which. Just copy over the previous versions. Also, try to get your esp sent in (even if it's incomplete) in time for the next esm update (every fortnight or so). This will also prevent errors.

Adding esps

Sandor has requested that all esps submitted have the prefix 'BM' followed by your own modder's prefix. In my case, that is 'BmIg'.

  • A cave interior for Tenmar Wall.
  • An initial trial version of the Jungle region with Tenmar Wall.
  • A re-textured version of Chasepoint.
  • A re-textured version of Rockguard.

The latest esm includes:
  • All of the above.
  • Full region generation for Blackwood by sandor (new cell grid map on its way).
  • Rockguard completed and a more polished version of Stormhold.
  • A full mossy ruin interior (see cell -10,17)
NB: LOD files are included in this download. Any future region updates will follow the same pattern as well as include the LODs from previous region updates.

The latest esm includes:
  • All of the above.
  • A more convincing series of test cells for the Jungle Region.
  • Tons of new content added (see archive thread).
  • Live (near Rockguard) and Dead (near Sloughpoint) rootworms together with a new rootworm tunnel (normal maps missing though).
  • Stormhold fully walled-up and altered.
  • Mokumalata Mossy Ruin now with more roots and custom clutter (still incomplete though).
  • Rockguard Tower interiors with our first full quest.
NB:There are a few errors connected with altered textures in this version. A rock is missing near Tenmar Wall and some of the normal maps for the rock textures around Tenmar Wall need adjusting as they are very 'silvery'. Please report any other issues. The latest esm includes:
  • Very incomplete new jungle region (needs extensive re-working).
  • New Mountain ridge over the Northern areas bordering Morrowind.
  • Beginnings of the new Rottmere Everglades Region.
  • New Stonewastes Interiors.
  • Pholmolo Settlement.
  • Various other small additions and changes.
NB:The new jungle generation came out nothing as I'd hoped. I am currently altering this. You can see how it is supposed to look in the hand-changed cells just behind Tenmar Wall. At the time of writing, I am currently experiencing a completely missing jungle region in-game. However, other users have reported no such problems so I am sending this esm out. 05/05/09 - v2.06

The latest esm includes:
  • WIP of Hist Dimension.
  • Various new models introduced (see the archive with the corresponding date).

Quite a while back now, I noticed that the cell grids for the WS did not match the map. This was very significantly different in some cases, especially for the area where Glenbridge was situated. It meant that I had to sculpt out the Panther River during the height mapping (besides doing various other things to the land to make it more smooth and manageable).

It also meant that Rockguard had to be completely moved because at the time it was situated somewhere between Darkmoor and the Everglades. Glenbridge, however, involved a clever trick because where Glenbridge had been placed in the WS corresponded very well with where Sloughpoint should have been placed. So Deeza and I discussed this at the time and decided to rename Glenbridge as Sloughpoint. This means that what you see there is Sloughpoint and not Glenbridge.

Another point is that our WS isn't as big as it should be since you could travel from Gideon to Seafalls in about a quarter of the space and it would make a gaming experience where there was pretty much a settlement always within sight. So, with the two settlements of Glenbridge and Sloughpoint being too close, it was decided that Glenbridge itself had succumbed to a disaster. I think we decided that we would leave it up to the modder to decide whether that it was due to fire, raids or floods but the general consensus was towards floods.

Check out my maps (attached) for details on the current region grids (which have changed a little during region generation but not for the settlements).

very nice screenshots. are you using a vanilla blackwood region there? i always immagined blackmarsh as more crowded and darker, maybe you could switch a few numbers in the region to have it generate more trees and groundcover to give it a denser jungle feeling? Also, i recal seeing that there are different water types avaliable for worldspaces. imo it could maybe add to the eeriness (see banner) of blackmarsh to use one of the other waters, for example the sewer one. ive never tested it myself, just something to maybe consider.

Yes its very true.The Black Marsh Blackwood is abit different then the Cyrodiil one.
It has Flesh flies,more strange floras and faunas,and yeah as LadyN said,its abit darker than the original.

This will all go into the claims details for the BW 'Landscape' claims :yes: . What we have is a basic model. We will incorporate Koniption's flora, the Baobab trees and set up more cypress swamp trees (with knee clusters) within the water itself.

Please don't post in the esm thread unless posting an esp. I'll leave this here until I get the landscape claims threads for BW done.

I am sorry for posting once more. But I just have to add something to this:
First of all, if possible I would like to claim Glenbridge.

And as Nerevar said
The sewer water would indeed fit a lot better. I have tested it in a custom worldspace and it works just fine. It would most certainetly fit A LOT better then the (far too) blue water there currently is in our swamps..

Download the BlackMarsh.esm -=here=- (v2.04).

Please do not rename the the esm, so the BlackMarsh.esm == the BlackMarsh.esm --> No version number required (it saves me a lot of time).

You'll see the version number if you load the esm and check the summary section of the data folder.


Please add your modding ID to your esp.
