This is a poem that describes the deeds of Birer Indaram. He is a Buoyant Armiger now in the garrison of Molag Mar which is commanded by Ulms Drathen. He fought near Yassu on the slopes of Red Mountain on one of the Temple raids on the Sixth House. However, this raid could have ended in disaster had it not been for the bravery and skill of the Armigers present. Hope you enjoy the poem and please reply with comments, suggestions or criticism.

Blade of Yassu
By Tidros Indaram

Brothers and Sisters, Lovers and Fighters
The Armiger and the Ordinator march on Ur
ALMSIVI protect, and ebon spear project
Blight and ash shall not deter

Blessed by Vivec the Armigers are
poets and soldiers none without scar
Blessed by Almalexia the Ordinators be
who is the greater they shall see

Up the Ashur-Dan the Ordinators marched
Fighting through land, dry and parched
Up the Mamaea we Armigers strolled
laughing and singing and betting untold

Ulms Drathen our Marshal led the way
On the slopes of Red Mountain the ash lay grey
the day grew dark and we camped in Yassu
my brother Birer noticed the silence grew

Birer went deeper and was attacked
in the cave of Yassu a smith was at work
with all about glass swords stacked
a Sixth House smith sat in the murk

and when Birer emerged, sleeper's head in hand
and as we all watched awed at the feat
the other hand held the finest blade in the land
Birer said he heard the scuffling of feet

We ran outside, surrounded by the Devil's tools
and we formed a shield wall strong as our will
Dagoth Odros the Heartwight and his ghouls
and we slew many that day and sleepers we kill

But the battle was turned by the Blade of Yassu
and by the hand of our Birer Indaram, brother of mine
He made a name for himself that day too
when the Heartwight came, ghouls in line

ambushed we were, but hope not lost
I shot an arrow at the Brother of Ur
and we were determined no matter the cost
and no spawn of Ur could deter

Stunned the Dagoth was at being hurt
and in rage he howled and struck at me
His spear clove through chitin an fell to the dirt
I did not die as I was blessed by the Three

But then I saw in Birer my brother
a rage and pain greater than Odros himself
loved by Vivec and loved by another
driven by love as seen in no other elf

He charged headlong into the throng
pushed aside the cultists with shield
swathes he cut, painful and long
and then himself he quickly steeled

As the Ordros watch amused, yet scared
Birer my brother fought as a martyr
As no other Armiger even dared
to fight the Dagoth in close quarter

He struck a blow so hard
into the chest of the Odros
and so the Ash Vampire was marred
and as our victory suddenly came close

And seeing their lord slashed with the glass
by our Armiger warrior blessed by by the Three
the ash-folk and the corprus beasts together in mass
ran away and we cut them down with glee

we are Armigers and we drove Ordros away
as he hides now in Ordosal, citadel of Dwemer
made the Ghosgate safe for pilgrims today
and hold the land for the faithful lay Mer
wow, how did I miss this? I was thinking that there is a storhouse of lore relating to the usurpation of the Dwemer Red Mountain cities by the 6th House, and an age of uncounted Battles fought by the Armigers thereafter...
I wrote it.... Sad
yeah, that is what I thought! Let's try agin. Pretend my previous post never happened!

When I first played Morrowind I thought: "there is a storhouse of lore relating to the usurpation of the Dwemer Red Mountain cities by the 6th House, and an age of uncounted Battles fought by the Armigers thereafter..."

Then yesterday I looked in Lit Dev, and lo and behold I read a poem by the famous KuKulzA based on the very same subject, and his poemt had been written over a week before.

My ghast was flabbered. However could I have failed to read it when it first appeared?
Rolleyes oh please
actually much escapes the eye... maybe I should've bumped this up a few times so it wouldn't escape the notice of peoples here
