Hi to all!

Now, it occurs to me that we will need a good transportation system for Elsweyr. Preferably one that makes sense.

So, what we have so far is rideable cats and camels. How about fast travel? Should we have a fast travel system similar to Oblivion, or one similar to Morrowind?

And of course, we need to discuss transportation in general, so lets hear it.
Expand the length of the desert, take out fast travel and use a morrowind system.
well I am lasy so I say fast travel with map menu
i'm with the mw group, it just makes more sence, one could ezly get lost in the deasert. Ok any one hear who has fully played the ocarena of time (zelda game) will know the deasert you have to transverse, now that would be a good idea, if any one neads that explaned i will.
You're the first person (other than myself) who's mentioned that. I suggested that, but X23 made a good point; In that game, you were restricted to an area. In Elsweyr, there will be no such restrictions.
true, well say if theres a part of the main quest that you a sent in to a certain part of the deasert and you must make your way back to the main city or something like that, so that say you're in a certain area thats marked off so that say theres difrent sections of this "area" so that if between point a and point b you respone at respon point 1 so that then with when you finish the quest all the marks go away.
If not Fast Travel make it like this:


*Divine Intervention
Spell that automatically teleports you to the nearest chapel (/temple). Can't be used in Oblivion or in other areas where it wouldn't be sensible. Also if you are in jail or have a bit of a bounty, the Nine will refuse to help you! Spell available from the spell sellers in the Chapels at Anvil, Bravil, Chorrol and Cheydinhal, and scrolls from the Mystic Emporium in the Market District of the Imperial City. (changing lookation of spellsellers and some scripting andit would work and ofc chapel is Temple)

Classic Travel
Add teleporter platforms to all mages guild halls. You have to be a Mages Guild Apprentice to gain
access to the teleporters. The usage costs are calculated
based on your mages guild rank.

Elsweyr Transportation
Add a Elsweyr Transportation Services employee to each
stable. He'll carry you instantly (like fast travel) to a
selected target stable for 500 gold, or in realtime for
250 gold. The latter is a great sightseeing tour! The
prices are quite hefty, but you'll get a 80% discount on
routes you've already used!

Mark & Recall
Add the Mark & Recall Spells from Morrowind back in. You
can only set one mark.

Divine iterventioncompletely ruins the point of endless desert. Trnsportation should cost about teh same as morrowinds did.
probaly but I acually thought that it whould be cool if we make it as if you are close enought to Tempel you get teleported
No, I think there should be Divine Intervention.

Say the player gets to a Main Quest dungeon in the middle of the desert. Now, he/she just finishes it, and doesn't want to go through the desert. So, do we force people to travel the desert, or allow Divine Intervention?
