I was looking through the old quest ideas and thought that perhaps we could make something of this. You would be told about the mysterious disappearance of Brendan the Persistent (famous explorer) by the curator at the Rottmere Museum in Stormhold, and then perhaps the quest would be triggered by finding a battered old book that suggests he kept writing years after he supposedly vanished.

This would be a great introductory quest for getting the player deeper into the Marsh.
I still think that tracing the last days of Brendan the Persistent might make for a fun quest in a dungeon in the deeper marshes.
Certainly, even if it's just a case of coming across a dead body. Do we have access to the original reference within lore so that we can endorse it officially?

Quote:The historian Brendan the Persistent writes, "The Argonian people have, throughout Tamrielic history, been perhaps the most misunderstood, vilified, and reviled of all the sentient races. Yet, those who have taken the time to experience Argonian culture have gained a greater appreciation for this noble and beautiful people." It should be noted that the historian disappeared during his final expedition into the deeper swamps of Black Marsh.

The tone of the reference suggests that he disappeared some time ago, so it might be more of a case of searching for his journals than finding a body.
Ah good. Something for the literary types to develop then. On sort of a side-note we could use some city guides and maybe the historian might have covered these in his travels...?

Oh yes, that link you posted got corrupted with a smiley...
I didn't know that could even happen...

Fixed, anyway.
