:pop: Wooow! That video may be one of the coolest thing I've seen as far as Morrowind goes. Excellent! The Cathedral is exquisite and I'm sure it will be a popular addition to any Oblivion mod : D
The details around the contest are a bit hazy right now but I'm going to set up a voting system in PHP and investigate what alternatives I find, so naturally the final details depend on how good the voting script I find is. Hopefully I can have a working system and revised contest text finished by the morning (Central European Time).
If you would like to upload your model(s), please:
? click the "Database" textlink, found third from left just below the forum banner image on all the pages in this forum. (
Quicklink)
? Then click "3DS Library (Morel)" in the left sidebar to be taken to the upload board. (
Quicklink)
? Spot the link called "[New DB-Entry]" in the main text frame. It's hard to see; I'll see if I can create an image link later to make it more noticeable. (
Quicklink).
? Now you're at the Database submission form.
- Please start the name field with your name, then the name of the model.
- In the "Short Info", please put a suitable category of your own choice which you feel the model belongs to. Examples are Swords, Buildings, etc but it's up to you
- You can use UBBCodes to fully stylize your text description
- Lastly is the button that lets you find a file on your computer to attach to the entry.
Notes:
- After it is uploaded, the database will automatically let you add screenshots (in jpeg format) if you want, and they are then displayed on the detail page for your model. The database also auto-creates thumbnails for the screenshots that are uploaded.
- There is a 5mb limit on any upload. If a model exceeds that, one might try creating a self-extracting archive with the freeware
7-Zip program instead, which might get it below 5mb.
- If a model still exceeds 5mb after using 7-zip, one can instead choose to enter an external download url. I can then upload it through other means to our server and edit the link to direct to it.
- You can use UBBCode to enhance your text description. This forum uses an
extended UBBCode function with specialized tags you can optionally use. Also, feel free to add any links (site, external video download etc) you want, contact information, info for viewers who want to use their model (do they have permission without contacting you first, and things of that nature)
I would have added your model myself, but as you get access to editing rights if you submit it from your account I figured you would want to do it yourself, as you can then update the entry whenever you want.
Looking forward to it! Thanks!
