hrnnn hermmm - hope you are not forgetting the Faculties of Literature (knightly - as in courtesy) and Botany (Alchymical natch) , also that the Dean is a somewhat shady (as in mysteriously appears and disappears from or to unspecified locations - this process ... = usually accompanied by the sound of 3 footsteps... and no other warning, 'cept poss' the cheshire cat grin) character with an enormous grey beard, mustaches and sideboards = the lot almost burying his face and chest. Known to the Faculty generally as raggidman on account of the tattered black professorial gown that he always wears - I will send you an appropriate photo (with permission) that you may use - and famous for the magnificent conventions that he hosts (including the one with the 16 delicious young ladies in his beard  )
hmmm - Rincewind? didn't you get sent off on a mission to the rim with your luggage? Good to see an old alumni taking an interest... and don't run off agin, there is a job here just for you - it won't be dangerous, promise.
location - suggest well away from the City itself maybe very near the dangerous Forest? Why? Loads more opportunities for strange events, and the fun journeys for alumni, staff and students to and from the City...
to be continued...
architecture: the original proposal for a University was to bring together small academic factions to string together characters in other mods (remember JKJ's academic in Elsweyr) etc.
So who might do this and why?
Which factions? - seems the Indoril have a love of learning - and in TES4 Vvardenfell they will be due for a hiding, with loads of them seeking sanctuary - could be there was a smart bunch of academics in TES3 saw the writing on the wall and got together with a power group to prepare a bolt hole for themselves where they thought they might be safe...
Now what if they viewed their safety as being enhanced by connection with other factions not just in Morrowind, but all over the Empire?
What this might eventually create is a campus with multi-ethnic architecture. In TES4.
TES3 might show the start of this process = an appropriate teaser and creating such a link to later events should enhance interest in both.
Thus TES3 would create the nucleous through our hero, the Nerevarine's questing on behalf of Indoril (Nerevar's House) - maybe when in TES4 he goes to Akavir it is on an academic Quest
- his questing might entail contacting academic groups and persuading them to take part, and escorting groups that arrive from other Provinces, then assisting in any construction.
Suggest that the original building to be found or constructed therefore be Redoran (as they will be more appropriate hosts given the later events, unless you want to create a campus War in TES4? in which case Hlaalu), with small additions using designs drawn from our TES4 Provinces to represent the original factions involved and their homes...
There is a faction that does need 'homes' = the Cerro, ST's very own Vampire Clan - and guess what, their base skils are subterfuge and
Alchemy! Link ups could be fun. Maybe they could be your Landlords - through a suitable intermediary... and or your nemesis, as they do not like Imperials... = accomodating at first, but then outraged to discover that you are inviting Imperials in...
ataridante - a useful contributor to the Botany Books was creating his own OB ESF Alchemy Mod, and he might have reached the point where he would like to take part... could contact him if you like...
More thoughts later if you like...
