since it isn't too hard to make this tiny fun faction, I will do so now...
EDIT: post your ideas and I'll try to work them in Wink

In the Argonia Arena, you can fight for small pay but you cannot join until you have a team. However, unlike most Arenas in the western world, the Argonia Arena is known for its bloodiness. People are not beaten, they are killed....
Stormhold
Jukthay-Lei will mutter as you pass by....
"times changed... since then Helstrom has severed all ties to the outside world. It's too bad, their arena was spectacular... those Pit Daemons... what a team.. if only one could bring it back..."
If you stop to ask this random beggar what its all about he'll answer...
Helstrom Arena:
"Yes young one, there was one in mysterious old Helstrom for a bit. Didn't go too well with the marshbrothers so they burned it down. Imperial tried to keep it open but only us People of the Root knew the way to Helstrom, even so, only those from Helstrom know the way there."
Pit Daemons:
"The team was the Pit Daemons.... yes it asks but does not know that it is talking to an old Pit Daemon. The rest are dead. Martio died last, killed by a crocodile."
Bring Them Back:
"Would you? Really?"
YES
"meet me tomorrow at dusk at the arena"

When you meet Jukthay-Lei at the Arena, it will be empty.
He will drill some hand-to-hand with you and then ask a few questions like...
"What type of fighter are you?"
Magic - the rest of your team will be stealthy, ranged, melee
Stealthy - the rest of your team will be magic, ranged, magic
Ranged - the rest of your team will be stealthy, melee, magic
Melee - the rest of your team will be stealthy, ranged, magic
"are you experienced in fighting beasts?"
YES - train against a human next
NO - train against a beast
"alright, as for its team, marsh brother will be looking for quality fighters."
you must choose...
magical
- altmer/argonian/breton/dunmer
stealthy
- dunmer/argonian/cyrodiilic/khajiit
ranged
- bosmer/argonian/dunmer
melee
- nord/orc/argonian/naga/redguard
of courseif you said you were melee in preferrence, then no melee choice available, magic then no magic, etc.etc.

when your team is assembled tomorrow he asks that you donate 3000 gold so he can set up your training hall. It will be a little ways outside of Stormhold in a walled-in little area with space for archery, dueling, beating a dummy, and a sleeping/mess hall. Afterwards, you train fighting with your team for a bit and talk to them. A healer is nearby who will make sure they don't die or you don't.
Next time you talk to Jukthay-Lei (in a week when the trainign hall is finished), you ask him about your arena trails. He said your team already finished theirs before. Now you must start your trials....

rank to be attained - gold earned per fight
Boxer - 400 gold/fight
No weapons or spells allowed. It is a fight to the death.
Stormhold - Forst Ogre-fist (Nord)
Gideon - Madruk gro'Bagrut (Orcish)
Soulrest - Bok Z'Eesh (Naga)
Thorn - Sodril Vando (Dunmer)
Archon - Ma'Gatar (Khajiit)
Blackrose - Algenon (Bosmer)
Lilmoth - Tom Bindo (Redguard)
When all of them are dead, you must talk to Jukthay-Lei again. He says train for a week at the training hall. The incentive is that if you do, your team will get a little better. If you don't, they won't....

Duelist - 500 gold/fight (+100 for unarmed combat)
You need to fight again. This time it is with weapons and magic if you choose to use them. You will be paid more for being unarmed however, as it makes for a more dramatic show.
Stormhold - Elanin (Altmer F) - katana
Gideon - Lucias the Bold (Cyrodillic M) - Club
Soulrest - J'Sadat (Khajiit) - staff/magic
Thorn - Glenothil the Craven (Bosmer) - bow
Archon - Charon (Redguard M) - sword/shield
Blackrose - Mette the Terrible (Nord F) - ax/magic
Lilmoth - Calls-Like-Bird (Argonian M) - spear
When all of them are dead, you must talk to Jukthay-Lei again. He says train for a week at the training hall. The incentive is that if you do, your team will get a little better. If you don't, they won't....

Survivor - 700 gold/fight
You must survive waves of beastial opponents. Just live. Survival isn't garunteed at all... save A LOT
Stormhold - 5 Starving Marsh Boars (2 waves)
Gideon - 8 Venom-spit Frogs (2 waves)
Soulrest - 2 Enraged River Rhinos
Thorn - 10 Dreugh (three waves)
Archon - 2 werelions, 2 werecrocs
Blackrose - 12 crocodiles (two waves)
Lilmoth - Giant Mantis
You can choose to have your team help you on one of the fights, just tell Jukthay-Lei which one it will be. (which city arena)
When all of them are dead, you must talk to Jukthay-Lei again. He says train for a week at the training hall. The incentive is that if you do, your team will get a little better. If you don't, they won't....

Gladiator - 800 gold/fight
Other local arena fighters are gearing up and readying to be Grand Champions. You need to squash them. However, all the local gladiators are thrown in together
Stormhold - 4 others
Gideon - 5 others
Soulrest - 7 others
Thorn - 8 others
Archon - 9 others
Blackrose - 10 others
Lilmoth - 13 others
When all of them are dead, you must talk to Jukthay-Lei again. He says train for a week at the training hall. The incentive is that if you do, your team will get a little better. If you don't, they won't....

Grand Champion - 1000 gold/fight
Now with your team you will have to face the different Arena teams from all the other cities...
Black Shields (Stormhold) - 5 armored Orcs
Shadowblades (Gideon) - 4 vampiric swordsmen
Knightblades (Soulrest) - 5 Imperial knights
Warlords (Thorn) - 6 Dunmer Warriors
Plague (Archon) - 6 Argonians with machetes
Warriors (Blackrose) - mixed group
Dark Tide (Lilmoth) - Dreugh

they are all very powerful, so don't underestimate them. The Black Shield are heavily armored but slow because of it, so whittle away at them. The Shadowblades are weak against fire. The Knightblades and weak against magical attacks (low willpower attribute). The Warlords are fast and deadly but easily defeated by heavy weapons. The Plague hit hard with their machetes but can be picked off at range if necessary. The Warriors are a mixed group, so versatile - best to just charge and finish them off... if you're confident. And the Dark Tide are several Dreugh... dark pigmented ones... but they are VERY fast and attack faster than the normal Dreugh...

after this you are Grand Champion... occasionally a random fighter will challenge you in an arena and you will be notified by Jukthay-Lei. You don't earn money from these fights, but Jukthay-Lei will earn money from bets and give you half. The max he earns is 2000, so the max you get is 1000. It all depends on how quickly you killed the opponent(s) compared to how much damage you sustained. The more gore and battle, the more money exchanged and re-exchanged... but don't die.. Wink

afterwards your team can be found chilling at the training hall or at various bar and taverns. You can also challenge them to duels at arenas. They will be around the same level as you and it will be to the death...
it sounds cool how about when you are grand champion there will be other people who wants to claim the title and you need to fight them?
I'd leave the arena for now, shreddz. I think it's only going to appear if and when Helstrom makes an appearance.

*whisper* Not anytime soon. *whisper*
Ibsen, do you think it might be a good idea to move old quest threads and ideas which are no longer going to be implemented (such as this one) into the archive?
Aye, I'll request a 'Dead and Completed Quests Archive' from sandor. :check:
Thanks. I'll flag up the quests I think are no longer worthwhile (and explain why). Then (assuming you don't disagree with my choices), I'll consign them to oblivion (by which I literally mean the daedric realm of Hermaeus Mora, which is full of books nobody ever reads....)
I have moved this to the archive, as it's thoroughly dead.
