Hi there.
I have a problem with 3dsmax. After applying textures at walls some are having some lightning effect on them, like in the attachment. Red marked places are those which have this strange effect, green are places that are okay. How I can rid of it? I'ts annoying because with normal map working in game it glows and looks little unnatural.
It looks like it may be the normal map itself? ?(
No, renaming the normal map doesn't change the problem in 3dsmax, in Oblivion the texture is darker and is not glowing but strange effect remains, so I guess it's not the case.
Have you done any vertex painting? Even if you haven't, I've noticed sometimes when I weld vertices that an effect similar to vertex painting seems to creep in unexpectedly.

No I haven't (I even don't know how to Tongue ). Can you tell me how/where to undo this if that's the case?
