I don't know if this would qualify as a bug, but I have no clue where I should be posting this. If this is in the wrong place please let me know and I will ask the mods to move, unless you want to pm them yourselves.

The pirates won't show up, no matter what I do, they won't attack the city. Is there a certain person I have to talk to, or what? The player's guide says that there is a rumor floating around....... but there isn't a rumor.

If you didn't download from the Summit then you need to download the internal release 1.4_3 for the pirate adventure to take effect. Extract it to your Morrowind directory, then throw away the outdated .esp from Release 4 and play with the new .esp from the internal release.

Good luck, and have fun! Smile
I have the latest version of the mod and seem to have had a similar problem, but I may have caused it myself by quickly traveling through the town via the boat travel system without stopping recently on my way elsewhere on Vvardenfell.

Is the pirate attack activated automatically upon entering Gnaar Mok or is there an NPC that needs to be talked to? I returned to Gnaar Mok and chatted with NPCs and such and tried resting several times to make the time pass quicker to different times of day, but no attack came.

Also, are there any known quests that are undone by whatever happens to Gnaar Mok after the attack? I've been skimming through walkthroughs for the main game and have only found one quest related to Gnaar Mok where an NPC is escorted there from another town. That one should continue to work I assume. Do any of the original NPCs survive (for example, the master trainer that is inside one of the buildings) as well?

I'm excited to get started with Silgrad Tower!
Cemm: The attack is supposed to start when you get within range of a certain NPC, so it shouldn't matter how you go about getting within range of him. Was the pirate NPCs in the town when you were there?
I uninstalled and re-installed and got the pirate attack to work.

I have Morrowind Comes Alive and Children of Morrowind as part of my game (this puts several generic NPCs, adult and child, in the Gnaar Mok area). I was also running 'Less Generic NPC (LGNPC) Gnaar Mok' which added a lot of dialogue to Gnaar Mok.

When the pirate attack happened the first time I was expelled from the Thieves Guild. I think this was due to one of the LGNPC NPCs being a Thief and me getting the credit for the crime of their death. So I removed 'LGNPC Gnaar Mok', cleaned the save with Wyre Mash, and tried again.

This time I still had to kill one of the MCA NPCs myself, but diidn't get expelled. I took the ship to the mainland, wandered around a bit and then rested for 24 hours, and then COC'd back to Khuul and took the boat back to Gnaar Mok to see how things were.

Are all the dead NPCs supposed to stay there littering the ground until I loot and remove them? Also, I didn't really notice any changes from before the attack. The NPCs I talked to all said the same thing basically. Something about me being new in the area and so not to expect anyone to want to answer many questions. Also the stock dialogue is there about the breeding netch quest and talk of a gang war between the Carmonna Tong and the Thieves Guild. Is that how Gnaar Mok is supposed to be after the attack or did I return too soon?
Cemm: It does sound to me like the pirate adventure is conflicting to some extent with the other mods you have running. The dead bodies are just left for the game to remove after the default time has passed. In place of the dead NPCs, new NPCs are meant to become activated, which are more window dressing than interesting people to get to know.
