I always wondered how someone became a moderator?
I think it'd be cool to be one, but I'm not good enough... ;(

One way to not become a moderator is to ask for the job.

No, no , no I wasn't asking for the job, I was asking how people got it.
Is it like a 'leaders vote on who they like, and present the job to them' thing, or what?

We keep track of different contributors and how they behave. When we need a new moderator we ask the people who are at the top of our list if they are willing to become moderators. If they are willing, they get the job.

After whats happened lately, I'm sure glad Im not a moderator.
Are you guys going to have to find a person to replace Corthian?

Maybe we will get a new moderator, but two moderators are enough for now.
