The Small Folk

When sides were taken, and the time struck upon the first hour, of the first age, waking the first people from their slumber from the last day, it is said it also woke a creature in the void of Padhome. A creature that is said to feed off time itself, and therefore is part of it’s passing. Some call him by Hermaeus Mora.

Some would call him an abomination, which should not be dealt with even when the clock hand strikes the final dial calling us all home. But these people are fools, for while Hermaeus Mora devours the hour, sweltering under his own size and forever lusting for the delicacies of the souls of Mundus, he cannot hurt us as long as we are pure in thought; it’s those who feel his luring bait upon them, like a fish with the hooked worm, and eat the tasty morsel we should fear, because through them, the Father of sludge wields powers that threaten the very supports our reality is built upon.

These followers of his slowly change, their souls becoming twisted, their bodies waste away into something new and unfathomable; their hair is replaced by a thousand life-fuelled tentacles, their feet become stumps of flesh, their skin rots away, leaving a green sludge, with eyes popping up on every available surface of their mutated, and disgusting corpses. They not only look like they are their master’s Children, they are infact part of him now, with nothing to testify that they were once mortal beings.

These horrid beasts of vile contempt then begin to gnaw at the Earthbones, changing them, mutating them, in their master’s name, until all else is mutation.
They the true nightmares of the waking eye, and will haunt this Kalpa until the world is re-carved unto the wood of time and space.

Born from an idea on the official forums; these are the hobbits of the world of Elder Scrolls.

It's an old Buddhist/Hindu word for an extreme length of time (e.g. and Aeon, etc), that was brought into the world of Elder Scrolls by MK in his works (e.g. the Song of Pelinal).

This is really just something to freshen up my mind before doing some more of Ra'Ra'Ra' Smile
I like it, sounds mysterious and cool Big Grin
