I'm a voice actor. I saw this place and I thought that maybe I could help out. I've been doing fandubs lately so i have some experience. If there is anyway I can help please tell me. Thanks in advance.
I'm Steve The Voice Guy and welcome to our humble mod!

We'd love to hear more about your experience, what voices you like doing, and even a few samples if possible. Big Grin

BTW how did you hear of us?

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks! I'm only 15 so I can only do characters around the age of 15-18 on my own but I have software called Audacity so I can edit my voice to your liking (even though to a voice actor thats practicly cheating lol). That said I'm willing to do really any kind of male voice. Here are some samples of my voice in previous roles and some old auditions:

Also I learn of this project when I was looking up videos for the game The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion on You Tube and I came across a lego video that you guys made and thats what got me interested. So here I'am!
Glad to have you with us, Flamzeron! Hope you'll like it here Smile

By the way is voice acting the only kind of modding you like?
I don't have any experience with modding so I can't do anything like coding or what-not but I'am also a writer so if you need any help with coming up with a storyline I can help with that too. That said voice acting and writing are my only skills for this type of project.
This is something I have been thinking about doing as well actually...I am only 16 but I do voice overs for a video game machinma site called halopen. I am pretty creative too so I can come up with some quest ideads as well I recently got a new mic that works pretty well I have ventrilo so its possible to record over that and I need to ask my machima leaders program he uses for voice editing its really good
Always cool to find new talent! If you are interested, feel free to post voice samples on a separate thread here in AkuDev or PM me with a DL location. Use any voices, accents or strange effects that you think you do well, and we'll see where you fit. The odds are you'll fit somewhere.

Just try to make your samples as "clean" as possible and at as high a gain as possible. OB seems to require voice files to be at ~92 dB, and jacking up the gain brings up everything in the acoustic environment. A couple of notes to help clean the sound:

- It doesn't have to be a sound studio, but a good directional mic helps.
- Beware the popping, puffing Ps! It's good to either have a "pop screen" or at least shield the mic with a bit of cloth or foam.
- If controlling start and finish with a mouse, it's very good to have it behind your directional mic; keeps the mouse clicks outta the audio picture. Smile

Hope to hear you soon,

Wow, that lego video I made actually helped a little bit I guess?

That's pretty cool.
