Here are some lines that Egger3rd has done for 2 Steadhelm NPCs:
- Gum-Knee, an Argonian refugee from Kvatch,
- Arathor, a Bosmer mage with high-flying hopes. Smile

He did 3 takes on both; I'll enclose three lines for each NPC, with each take in a separate message.

Let me know which you like,
Steve

EDIT: Now with poll. You can select 2; of course selecting 1 of each is intended. Big Grin
For both NPCs.

Hi Bob!

I think I'll ask Andy to do the voice of Arathor's friend who never comes out of the basement. Smile

Steve
Ain't it two that is in the basement?
But on second thought, the other might be a female...

I did the NPC's so I think that it is two anywayWink It was the firstone I did, so can't remember to goodSmile

(Edit) It is some nice lines  , and I have voted now...
Yes, thier should be 2 in the basement 1 male and 1 female

That sounds good Steve, and I enjoyed the 3rd take best Big Grin

Trankintor: Excellent use of the word "Ain't" you should come to Texas Big Grin

If it were a generic script we were dealing with here then I would have 'take 1' for the Bosmer lines every time but I'm going for 'take 3' because of the nice little variation that's going on here. On the other hand, 'Take 2' just irritates me and not in the good, appropriate way that Bosmers are kind of supposed to, either. I think if he was given that voice then my character may be forced to punch him =)

For the Argonians, it was a choice between 2 and 3 for me. Again, for me #2 is more generic territory and, mainly for that reason, I went for the other one. I like the last line of #3 best and it was this that swung it for its extra coarseness and improved expressive power. Good acting on that one, although I'm not too sure about the long silences in some of the lines. Besides this point, other modders that I worked with have told me that drawn-out lines can make the lip-synching difficult. It's a very minor point I think, though and SACarrow will probably be able to nail any problems.

Whilst I'm being picky, I would have to say that I detected a bit of background hum to some of the recordings that I haven't come across in his work before. Anyway, Egger3rd is a great talent and a credit to the ST voice team - great stuff! :goodjob:
