Good good. Best to place alongside furniture so that it fits with the 90 degree angles. The sides, I guess, will be transparent? I think something like this only needs to be simple anyway. The tough part is the creatures inside.

Agreed, the more simple the better. Will take less of your fps that way.
What should the terrarium be made of? Something from the swamps would be needed, where do fine glass plates come from?
