Anyone got it yet?

What's it like?

I wish I pre-ordered it now; everywhere I've been in the town is sold out including supermarkets. Sad I'll try tomorrow; with little luck I might find a shop with stock that doesn't charge mad prices (I'm not paying £50+).

There's also a load of rubbish going about in the UK news too saying it should be banned because it 'encourages violence'. They did it with Manhunt, but that's pretty much based on violence whereas the GTA games have always had a humorous theme towards it.
Haven't tried it myself, but one of my friends in the UK says it's really good.

They shouldn't ever ban any game. Games don't start violence, people do, and I have yet to see anything bad happen that was caused by a video game. I don't think it's gonna happen anyways.
I dislike the game.

Still shouldn't be banned.
Yeah, myself, I don't usually play games like that. Most people who do play those kinds of games say it's good, so that's what I assume that they assume.
i assume that i dislike it, mostly cause i got 2 friends who just kepp talking about that and some half life games, making it freaking irritating for me!!!
I've read a special comment from one of the developers of the game.
Some people don't want the game in the stores of wallmart, because it's too violent. But you can buy some weapons from the same store.
Im gonna be sensible this time and wait for 2-3 months for the price to drop. although its possibly my favourite series in terms of game hours so far. Got boring towards the end of the last 2 as once you have completed the missions, wandering around mercilessly killy until you have the army after you, then skidding into a pay'n'spray is the same in all the past versions..

BUT my gosh, this one looks amazing and i HAVE to have it! Wink
Its ranked 10 in GAMESPOT!! 10!!! Gamespot hardly gives out perfect scores to any games. This must have something un-acomplished by man but discovered in GTA IV.
I don't actually wanna play the game, its been dragged on for song long I got bored of hearing about it, though my firend wants it and yet all shops were sold out, game, Woolworths, GameStop, extravision......

It seems its quite popular Big Grin
I have it, it's perfect Wink I honestly can't say I've ever played a more detailed game, or one with such an engrossing storyline. it's violent sure, but it's not senseless violence (which you can still do if you wish, but it wouldn't be in character) as the other GTA games. This is much more mature and reasoned, Niko is a believable character with a real life. I'm not far into the story yet but the gameplay so far is ace.

I remember chasing this drug dealer down in one of the missions, on foot. It led me through a couple of back alley ways, and as I was jumping down some stairs there were homeless people warming their hands on a fire. Later on a guy lying drunken in cardboard boxes. I then followed the dealer into his apartment block, this is the night time btw. I was chasing him up the stairs, a helpless woman came in front of him which he used to throw her down the stairs to block my way. None of this is scripted, this is all the Euphoria physics engine, which is the best thing I've ever seen, leaps and bounds ahead of havok. Niko shouting "There was no need for that" while trampling the helpless woman under his feet (Again Euphoria perfectly described the way it would happen in real life if I were to walk over someone on the ground).

There is not a single bad thing I can say about this game. And theres a reason it's been dragged out InsanitySorrow, it's so that they could make it the way it is now. Sometimes while driving down the road I see people fixing their cars which have broken down. Or just polishing them beside their houses. Once I stole a guys car for a mission, and he grabbed onto the door (Euphoria, again) so there I was driving down the road 60 KM/H with this guy hanging onto the door being dragged across the ground. After a few seconds he couldn't hold on any longer and he let go, which resulted in his body being flipped several times along the road (Euphoria, it's the god of physics engines Tongue).

And the cars handle so well, leaning this way and that (It's Euphoria people!) as I turn corners, taking photorealistic damage depending on what way I crash. Driving is harder granted, but so much more fulfilling.

Sorry for the mini review, I couldn't help it Big Grin
