There are four ranks apart from the usual member ranks. Members can't progress to these ranks through high post counts; they are designated manually.

"Editors" are members who has access to certain functions that allow him or her to moderate posts on the forum. The rank doesn't grant access to internal boards or include core membership. Presently, the position of Editor is open.

"Honorary Members" are persons that have been inaugurated in the core but has since retired from taking an active role in the team. The rank doesn't come with any moderating functions or access to internal boards; Honorary Members are much like normal members, who'se distinguished service has earned our recognition.

"Councilors" are core members. Apart from access to the internal board and voting rights on internal matters of the team, core member status is accompanied by global moderator powers. It also implies a deeper involvement both in the team and the modding process, although the details of that involvement remains for each core member to define for him or herself. Information posted on the internal boards are confidential, such as who voted for what alternative when we settle matters. The rank comes with full moderating powers.

"High Councilors" are core members with extended admin functions that pertain to operating the forum.

Core team

About a month after Oblivion's release we looked at which existing core members had come back to the team, as some had been gone for a looong time - but we still wanted to give them a chance to rekindle their love for Elder Scrolls through playing Oblivion and see if they wanted to return. One never came back, one came back and got angry because their involvement was in question (after, like, doing nothing for two years), and one who was never in question sadly decided to step back of his own volition. I won't name who was who of The Black Knight, Grand Inquisitor or Ben Vagara, but summa summarum they all stepped out of the core.

Caligula Superfly was voted into the core on May 15th 2006, becoming the newest core member since Rodan became inaugurated on August 3rd, 2005.

[strike]Posted January 17th, 2006: The current cast of core members will remain in status quo until work on the Oblivion mod has gained momentum, at which time we'll examine which Councilors have made the decision to take an active part in our mod's development, and if there are rising stars up for consideration.[/strike]

Customized rank titles

Honorary Members, Councilors and High Councilors can choose whichever rank title they prefer. It can also be given to leaders of affiliated projects.
