For Blender - UV Mapping and Texturing Tutorial
"Made for Blender Newbs, by a Blender Newb"
by Koniption

Follow the instructions on the numbered Blender screenshot JPG's, in order from #1 to #18, to learn how to do some basic UVMapping of a texture for a 3D Object. (I know #7 is missing - ignore that, it's not needed..).

Here are the numbered screenshots:

Use the MurkwoodGloShroom01.nif as the nif you UV Map in Blender:
http://www.silgrad.com/oblivion/modellin...ooms01.nif

Open it up by importing it into Blender, and try to UV Map it with this tutorial. You can fix and improve smeared and overly stretched textures on nifs this way.

I also included the textures, you can use for the shroom:

Play around with the UVMapping options after you do this tutorial - there are more options for UV Mapping than what my tutorial walks you through. This tutorial also assumes you know basic Blender commands and functions already.

I do not know a lot on how to use Blender, but I made this picture tutorial and struggled through a little of Blender myself, to help a fellow modder.

Note: Nif and textures courtesy of Senten @ Silgrad Tower; he said I could use them to distribute with this tutorial. So big thanks to Senten!
