Good news! n00biepl0x has agreed to work on our banners for us. I have attached some pics of the voodoo potion labels that I created a short while ago to give an idea of what style I'd like to use (yes, they're upside down because they have to be to fit the potions). These are pieces of vector art that are available over the internet but I'd like us to have our own unique banners. So here are my suggestions:
- Stormhold - A hammer with vines twisted around the handle. This would reflect both the religious pictures from the sanctuary that I added and also relate to the word 'storm' through the use of the hammer symbol (storm = Thor's hammer).
- Gideon - The eye of a wild animal surrounded by four small lizards.
- Khanaten Independence Movement - A black moth.
- Shadowscales - A hooded head with green eyes shining from beneath.
- Mages Guild - A winged figure, perhaps representing the Sarpa. Or a large Hist tree with many branches overlaid upon a sun.
- Thieves Guild - A scaled claw with a coin set inside it.
- House Dres - same as ST's banner for House Dres? (I don't know if this exists yet).
I'd like to know the text required on the banners, or if there is any text needed at all. Would any specific color schemes be requested? Would you like them to be in the style of the 'Silgrad God-banners'? Or more clean like the potion labels you created?

No text required. Yes, something like the god banners would be good although perhaps a little more grand, especially for the cities of Stormhold and Gideon, considering that they are major cities.
Regarding your PM, the style of your God banners more or less matches that of the tribal vector art I have used here. But, just to clarify, go by my suggestions only. The attached pictures here are merely samples of potion labels that I posted up to give you an idea of what I meant by 'tribal vector art'. Try googling 'tribal vectors' in the image section and you'll find something similar. =)
I'm very sorry, but I can't do any texturing for a while. School takes up so much of my time, I can't find the time outside of the holidays to do any texturing. I hope you understand.

Besides being surprised to find this little piece of artwork from an artist who happens to be a fan of Oblivion (and Argonians, as it happens), I was recently looking for South American icons to help me work on the Royal banners and the sash of the 'Ordinator' armour. So I opened this thread:

Btw, I'd like to put the Baby Argonian inside a little 'family photo' type of frame and put it by the bedside of some Argonians. Then thieves might think twice about stealing from such homes....or maybe not.
I've been looking at 'Gobelino' as a means of obtaining the banners we need. I've missed those out that I thought I probably wouldn't use. But how are these, do you think? Could any 'owners' of the cities and settlements we have completed please comment on which you find appropriate:

Amazingly, these resources are very, very low in terms of the filesize so they could potentially all be used. However, they're all of one shape and may need specific normal maps for different types of tapestries. Also, when stretched to form castle banners, they may lose their quality severely....and they are, of course, only rectangular and therefore not suitable as rug-like wall covers...
I might be using something like Weave, Rose, Window or Dragon for the Tenmar Wall interiors...so I'd like to know which ones to set aside...
