This is an unusal claim in the sense that someone else has already modded so much on it. However there's a fair amount of work left before we can use this claim, for two reasons. It was modded long ago and uses the old Redoran tileset, and it was modded to fit in with the plans of creating a village in Deepen Moor called Nekhostif Ouadar. After kingevil ceased working on Deepen Moor the plans for that village ceased with it, and we find ourselves with a 75%-finished Redoran tavern we can't use without the remaining 25%.

I look forward to a discussion of where on our landmass this tavern should be situated. After my rework of Soluthis the city is pretty much full. Perhaps it can find a home in the Farmland region? Just a thought.

Please treat the cell as you would treat a starter cell, i.e. load up Oblivion.esm + Silgrad_Tower.esm and open the cell DeepenMoorNekhostifOuadar03, and then you can get started. If you want to change the NPC names or create new characters, please use the name generator to come up with good male/female names. Don't use any Imperial stuff in this location, whether from TES4 or from our mod, apart from clothes and weapons. Please feel free to review, and change or add to, the AI blackbird created. Also don't forget to review and change the dialogue to ensure what's being said fits in with what's being modded (for instance if you change the tavern's name, make sure the NPCs don't still refer to it as "The Fishing's Pool")
Extended information on modding in general can be found in sandor's excellent thread Technical Info concerning Interiors, and naturally the articles on the CS wiki are always worth reading. But don't forget to run forum searches here as well, because often you'll find the answer here instead of the wiki. If you don't find the answer, feel free to post the question here in your claims thread But beyond that it's worth remembering that trial-and-error is an integral part of modding and it's only natural that you have to playtest your work to see if what you did worked or not.
Perhaps we could place (Silgrad area) it on the border with Deepen Moor/FF near the main road from Silgrad city to Soluthis.
Hi Razorwing, I by chance read this thread and noticed the farmland mentioned as a possible home for the tavern. My first thoughts were that the farmland is more agriculture and wilderness. I didnt think it would really fit.

But seeing Sandors post, I realized that would not be a bad location with the traffic that would be coming through there. It could also be used as traveling location for farmland NPCs. Leaving seating arrangements open for other close region NPCs to be used in quests etc.

I attached a pic with a yellow marker where I thought the road Sandor was speaking of was located. This spot in the farmland would be fine imo.

@Sandor if you were thinking of a different location and want the claim, please do. I was only responding to what I was reading.
I believe that claim was made by me.
Could you clarify your suggestion, sandor? I think I understand what you mean, but the part about the Silgrad area confused me a bit and made me think of a three-way crossing point between the Silgrad region, Deepen Moor region and the Forgotten Forest region. I do like the idea of it being a rest stop between the two cities.

Zurke: My first thought was of the Farmland region because I thought that would be the one place where there might be a tavern exterior without a modded interior, and if there had been then it would have been straightforward to hook the updated interior up to the exterior world. I should probably have clarified that that was the background to my suggestion. As you said though, the tavern might not fit in with the overall style you're going for, and I do think the location on your screenshot is very close to the city (especially since this tavern has rentable beds).

blackbird: I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I've modified the original post and I hope it's accurate now. Smile

I like the idea for a rest stop too. Smile

Initially I was thinking of location #1 but I think location #2 is much better (more or less half way between SC and Soluthis). It could be shifted towards the West.

Sorry for replying so late, but: great, it's decided then :goodjob:

I'll place the exterior models on our landmass in a plugin later on and fix the door links.

I think it would be a nice compliment to our own history if the name Nekhostif Ouadar lived on somehow. Perhaps I can mod a miniature village with just the tavern and two or three houses.
I have changed the editor ID to SolFarmTavern for ease of navigating.

@RW you mentioned the Redoran tileset as being the 'old' tileset. Is that an issue? Do the tiles need to be changed?

@blackbird from what I could see you did a really nice job. I think the name will fit fine 'The Fishing's Pool'. I did want to know about the existing NPCs. Are they just connected to the tavern? Owners, patrons?

I would like to keep them and the tavern as is. As I said to RW good modding is a silly thing to waste and you did a great job.

Yes it's an issue, we have to replace all the instances of the old Redoran tileset with the new before we can release ST 3.0. (The old Redoran tileset was presumably the only one available at the time blackbird modded this interior.) The new tileset is the instances that have the snippet NEW in their ID. There's a couple of exceptions, like the hut basements and the 'roofhole' models. The hut basements are permanent while I haven't modified other parts of the tileset to work with the roofhole models.
Hi RW. Ok I will change them out. Hopefully the refit with not too much effort Smile
