Silgrad Tower from the Ashes

Full Version: [FORUM] How to add a poll to your thread

For some mysterious reason our forum has ticked on for eight months or so now without anyone besides core members being able to start polls. So that's probably why there's been so few of them. :dunce:

That was certainly not the intention, and has now been amended. Thanks to KuKulzA for making me aware of the problem.

Unlike with places like ESF, there's no separation between threads and polls on our forum. Rather, polls are appended when you're starting a new thread, at which point you'll notice a button below the big text window labeled Poll, as in screenshot #1. Click it to open a popup-window (screenshot #2) where the poll is created.

First you write a title for it (probably in question form). Then, click in the textbox to the right of Answer:, write a possible answer, and click the Add button and it'll get added to the list of alternatives. "Yes" "No" and "Other" are often a good set of alternatives if you're presenting an idea or suggestion.

When you're finished, don't forget to click the Add Poll button! If you don't, your poll won't get added and the information you put in is gone. Now you can go back to the main window and continue normally, and when you post your new thread it'll have your poll in it.

Happy polling everybody! Big Grin
