Dwynnen is a critical place in the history of High Rock. This is the site of the epic battle where the Camoran Usurper (the father of the bad guy from Oblivion) got wiped out by the army led by Baron Othrok of Dwynnen. This epic event is still celebrated by the festival of Othroktide, which celebrates the day the future Baron turned up out of the wilderness and killed the Lich who ruled the town, taking it for his own.
The town is surrounded by walls, and has medium-sized castle called Castle Wightmoor. It is home to the small knightly Order of the Raven, who have a proud history that dates from when they led the fight against the Usurper.
The town contains two statues of Baron Othrok. The first commemorates his victory over the Lich, and the second that celebrates his victory over the Camoran Usurper.
There is a graveyard close to the town. It includes a large crypt belonging to the Neithwyr family.
