I just bought a new PC from Dell. It wasn't the best they had available but it should do well for me. I've had this old Intel Celeron 2.8Ghz piece of kit for about 6 years now...and it's utter shit! =)
Hopefully, it should be a step up in performance going from a single core Celeron to a quadcore i5...besides various other gizmos...I had considered an Athlon 6-core but figured I'm not that PC obsessed to warrant it.
So I'm off to celebrate what I hope will a year's worth of hassle-free computing next year...as well as a few other things, if I'm lucky. Have a great year everyone! :wasted:

@Ibsen: don't expect those extra cores to make a difference to any Bethesdsa software: it's all pretty single core however "multithreaded" they claim it to be. Your new unhobbled processor, clock speed and graphics card will make waay more of an improvement. On the plus side, more than one core means your computer can think about something else at the same time rather than going into a complete zombie state! So never regret skipping out on those Athlon extra cores: it's all marketing hype. You need seriously specialised software to actually use them anyway.

Here is a roundup of RL happenings (don't tell me you ain't interested):
- Blizzard was a terrible workplace. People cared more about the money then the fans.
Left the company to join various art projects which are mostly helping young minds to get good careers and such. Some projects deal with people with mental disabilities as well.
- I got dumped 16 times in one month, which must be a record right? :yes:
Also was nearly going to propose to one gal, except she cheated on me right in my living room, the nerve of some women! Now that I've moved back to england I am sitting alot more happily than I was before.
What am I doing for New Years? sitting down, enjoying my apartment's good view with a nice cold brewski.
Some of my friends came over yesterday to celebrate a little private event we call "bear day."
It is a really silly event every year which no one on this forum wants to know about, all I'll say is it contains: gambling, an exotic version of dnd, some costumes and whoever wins the lottery actually loses some things which keep themselves dignified in public.
Now I want to know a few things:
1) How is the project rolling? did you all become Bethesda employees when I was gone?
2) Who touched my beloved naga. Own up now and purnishment will only include singing my favourite song on Youtube, embarassment is surely the worst purnishment of all.
3) Got anybody new to work on the project?

The project as far as i know is going really good, black marsh has been nice and smooth, not to sure bout Elsweyr or Highr Rock but i have onlt been here a few weeks. and some of that was, a bad time.
I am new to the project and it think we are getting a few new pwople a week from what the page tells me.
and i have no spotted owl idea whata naga is.

Yes, we're onto the dungeons phase of releasing the beta. I set up five new dungeons quite recently but have been experimenting with the city of Lilmoth lately which has completely nothing to do with the beta but I wanted to do some creative modding for a change instead of just shitty admin.
All beta areas are now landscaped, path-gridded and ready to go...barring the borderlands (the bit between the beta regions and the rest). A page full of interiors remain (about 10?). There's about 4-6 dungeons to complete (something like that...dunno off the top of my head), tons of NPCs to set up and lots of space for questing very, very shortly.
