Now that i am the Conceptual Leader of these i will need a second leader anyone?


Nordic Colonists
-these guys dream of re-conquering Morrowind but for now they simply colonize. They fight often with Telvanni, Ashlanders, and Beast-folk. They attempted to settle the West Gash but were driven off by Redoran.
Ranks:
Stripling, Woodman, Meadsman, Yeoman, Seaman, Raider, Slayer, Honor Guard, Hersir, Battle King

They have two bases one in Dagon Fel the other in Ald Redaynia. Skyrim Nords have made Ald Redaynia there new home and Dagon Fel is home to Nords that have been in Morrowind for a Few generations. Alfhedil Elf-Hewer is the Leader for Dagon Fel Nords and a Skyrim Nord will be Leader for Ald Redaynia. There are Beacon towers scattered in a pattern from Ald Redaynia to Dagon Fel. If one of these Towns become under attack the Beacons become lite and reinforcements are sent. Lol I got this Idea from Lotr Return of the king. A new race of Trolls have made new homes scattered about these backland islands. The Aharasaplit Camp the only Ashlander camp in the islands. Is now going to be bigger can cause some problems for the Nords with their Betmeri Allies. Relocating the Saltrice Farm so it isn't so easily raided by the Betmeri and Ashlanders. Nord Raiders will patrol certain paths near the settlements to keep unwanted visitors from making an entrance. Anyone have any Ideas for Andre Maul's Tower? Now for the creatures inhabiting the Island.

everthing looks good for the most part :goodjob:

a few suggestions however:
  • i'd get rid of the lotr beacon thing, it's too obviously the same for my tastes,
  • i'd try to leave out any new races of creature that i could, but if you really want the new trolls and are willing and able to make them happen, go for it (remember oblivion will have trolls too...).
  • the chickens are a fine idea, to show the difference in culture, however in oblivion they are probably just ambiance creatures, like the butterlfys and whatnot...
  • sharks... i don't think there are any in morrowinds waters... but i'm not sure...
  • i'm not sure i've ever heard of a feral pig in TES... what is it?


other than that everything looks good! now the next step (in my mind) would be to begin laying out ideas for the overarching flow of the nordic coloy stoyline... what happens storywise? who are the major players? what good quests can we get out of it? how can we tie it to the larger ideas of the main quest? things like that...
Hey batman o i found all these creatures from the beastiry thread and creature thredSmile but yes im working on the quests but Kululza really really liked the beacon tower idea so maybe i can make a poll?
well, i'd still check the sharks at the imperial library, and i've still never heard of a feral pig...

as for the lotr thing, its not a bad idea per se, it's just... been done. maybe if we add some sort of Vvaderfell/TES twist... hmm magical beacons maybe...
Quests

1.
Skyrim Nord Leader at Ald-Redaynia "we still havent gotten a name"

Skyrim Nord Leader : Stripling, I need you to deliver this message to "Barracks Commander Dagon Fel" tell him it is very important.

Barracks Commander: Thank you heres 50 septiems and return this message to Skyrim Nord Leader.

Skyrim Nord Leader: These new trolls are killing our chickens and raiding our storages. Find Their Local Den and kill them all. Go to Local den find trolls eatin chickens what not kill them all. Troll Pack leader maybe hes just a big bigger and stronger. Return To Skyrim Nord Leader and he gives you a nice enchanted silver war axe.

3.
We have reports of a Local Betmeri scouting camp from Valenvaryon south east of Ald Redaynia Go there kill them all and bring me back any information. Reward is like 3 pearls. The note says " Regarding Scouting Leader From Umug. Go Find this Nord settlement bring me any evidence that they could be worth raiding, once doe scouting come to Valenvaryon to my room.

4.
Skyrim Nord Leader: This isnt good I want you to Deliver this Note to Alfhedil Elf-Hewer to tell him about the orc base south of here. Go to Dagon Fel give note get 50 septiems. Return to Ald - Redaynia and the town is under attack. Goblins, Orcs, durzogs, trolls, khajiit are attacking the town. The Military Commander tells you to lite the beacon. Defend the town for 4 mins and reinforcements arrive and you kill the rest of the Betmeri off. Reward nice 2h axe.

5. Skyrim nord leader: I want you to investigate Valenvaryon I want to see how big this problem may be. Go close to valenvaryon journal updates and then all of a sudden 1 orc and 2 goblins ambush you kill them and return to Ald - Redaynia.

6. Skyrim Nord leader: I have but one last task for you. Go to Valenvaryon and kill some speical orc and bring back his axe as proof of your dead note the orc will not be Umug maybe Durz or someone. Reward is 500septeims, and Skyrim Nord Leaders family goblet.

These Quests will get you to Stripling, Woodman, Meadsman, Yeoman, Seaman.

The Dagon fel quests will get you fromRaider, Slayer, Honor Guard, Hersir, Battle King

  1. Good early quest i'd say, but needs a bit more fleshing out...
  2. So you are creating new trolls (i mentioned something about it earlier with no response). Either way i think that this quest is a great way to tie in their beliveability with the game world.
  3. A good quest, relating to other groups in the game world, but i'm seeing a trend develop...
  4. I can just imagine the scene now... guys everywhere fighting in the steets... one thing i'd like to know however, whats behind the betmeri attack? why are they attacking?
  5. An ambush huh? Are you being targeted? Are the betmeri hunting you? Were they just a random pair of guys? ...and the trend continues...

    but umm.. whats the bigger objective behind what the nords are doing? there seems to be much killing and not a whole lot of building... are the these nord attackers or nord settlers?

    and besides bethesda has expilicity stated that they are trying to move away from the "go here, kill this" type of quests, and into deeper, more layered quests that aren't all about running errands...
Well so much killing is because they are in conflict together. The nords see the orcs as a threat to the Ald Redaynai and the orcs imagine that the nords will soon attack Valenvaryon to make sure they could begin their colonization without any worries and besides nord and orcs hate one another.

I think that the beacon idea is overused in myth, fantasy, and history.... we need to find a way to make it seem unique cause it is a good idea, no doubt about it.
Tymvaul could be an important character, he was that young Skaal sorcerer that wanted to learn necromancy on the mainland instead of leading the normal Skaal life, so after you rescue him he leaves....
when the Vikings settled they made farms and hill forts and such, perhaps you want to have a few other small saltrice farms here and there near one of the two Nordic towns... I think that would show how some of them are settled
the quests need to be made more indepth and also more realistic... busting into Valenvaryon isn't easy, you'll need an army... so maybe rethink some of that..
Turenal Elf-Hewer, is that a Nord name? I hope so... anyhow, maybe he is only come from Skyrim a year ago and so he is less familiar with the land? maybe some recontiering quests from him?

I am planning to remake the goblins' sideof the betmer story so that it is more logical... so stay tuned
also, the ranks and stuff of the Sheogorad Nords is not complete... it was only suggestion... so if you guys have better ideas, don;t be afraid to type it down and post it here on this thread :yes:
