Wow... cool garden!
Ah! - Kielanai - 08-23-2007
Kirei desu yo! ^_^ That's very nice! Nicer than my garden. :pppp You should come to Japan and landscape my yard like that. Hehe. I live in a small apartment, so I have no yard. ;( ... I have lots of chimes though! :applause: ... and a taiko. (Yes, I practice outside, so between the drum and the chimes I apologize often to my neighbors for noise. Fortunately, they say they don't mind.)

Your yard looks like a wonderful place to meditate and retreat from the cold cruel world.

Thanks for the yard compliments

No, I do not have those boats in game yet, but I will. The smaller ones can be done fairly fast, but the bigger one will take a little while.
I don't know if speedtree can add roots as well as branches. I think it will try to place leaves on the roots as well. If you know of a tree in game that has a similar look, let me know I'll see what can be done.

So that's the problem with the roots, leaves will be added to them... now what are we gonna do? ?(
Good to know we can have those boats.

Here is a screen of the lanterns and some other stuff

Can't see much lol. Can you make the screenshot in a daylight or evening? And possibly at closer range?
- Kodama - 08-29-2007
I can see them just fine, they look great! :goodjob:
It would be awesome to place 10 of tose things in a river
I also like how you made the edges of the water, what models did you use for them?
- ra5946 - 08-29-2007
Really- It didn't seem that dark to me. Once I get a couple trees done, I'll take a picture in daylight. The lanterns are easier to see at night though...
I made large canal walls with "fake" grass tops. I didn't like the angle the natural ground could provide, so I made my own. These walls are interlocking so you can connect as many as you want in a row. I'll make different versions so we can have a variety (side canals and such).
In the picture is also my weeping willow which needs to be used as a decoration here and there and not as a forest because it's fairly high poly.
There are also 2 versions of warehouses in the picture. I'm gonna make a few more of those too. The one on the left currently has a mon on it showing it's owned by a certain group. There are so many versions of the chrysanthemum mon, which one do you want me to use?
- Kodama - 08-29-2007
Cool! :goodjob:
The chrysantheum mon could be the same as the chrysantheum mon on the Knifeblossom samurai uniform, it's a gold mon, but any chrysantheum mon will do.
