[Request] Dunmer cushions - Dave_91 - 02-09-2007
Could anyone make a few Dunmer style cushion models? We'd be able to decorate stuff a little better with these. I'd appreciate it.
If anyone wants any screenshots, I can get some.

Dont mind for some screenshots! Ill take this on eup.

Certainly. Here ya go:
Cushion Scale
Round Cushions
Square Cushions
Cushion Close-up
The shapes look relatively simple (that said, I shouldn't judge the skill since I know nothing about modelling). You don't have to make them all if you don't want to, although the more the merrier.
I really appreciate this :goodjob:. Good luck!

Yup, the TES3 cushion models are exceedingly simplistic. The textures would be harder, but the cushions strike me as something that there was probably made retextures for during the TES3 era. If you run into one that might simplify it a bit. Otherwise I think we have fabric textures in the mod already that might prove useful, even if not perfect.
Here are some more images in case they're useful:

Well heres two cushions that were shown, To get all those designs I think well only need a Texture change for variety, I also want to make another one, but a different shape, Any other chushins while were at it?
By the way, They are fully UV Mapped, but Maya Is acting up and is not allowing me to save the UV map, So Razorwing, Can you do me the biggest favor, by extracting the UV map in 2048 X 2048(I like to work big, then decrease) for me and export them into the game, and ill do the texturing and normal mapping and the whole nine yards for mapping.
If you can go even Further as to Export them into the engine for me with collision, you would b a godsend! =)
C&C More then welcome
Edit: My Rar file for the OBJ is missing. ?(
Edit2: Ok working

Excellent! Very nice. Once the UV gets done, I'll download.
One slight thing you could consider though, is to make the cushion on the left a little flatter/wider. If you don't mind.
Also, does anyone think the cushions should be 'havoked'?

Killamike718: I'm not sure I understand what you want me to do.

Oh Sorry about not bieng clear.
OK, Never mind the UV part, finally got that working, but Once I get the files in NIF format, Can you help me add collisions? Either In NIF Scope or if you could do it in 3DS Max, It would be better to tell me how to do it in Nif Scope but thats up to you.
Dave, got your request, and Ill make the shape you want. =)

"Adding Collision Model - Step by Step Guide" is a really good tutorial that helped me understand how to work with collision inside NifSkope. Feel free to check it out for the future if you want, but I will of course gladly help you set up collision on the cushions you modelled in the meantime.

Thanks for understanding, I very much appreciate this.
You won't be disappointed.
