- drmccoy - 02-04-2009 so, your computer likes drinking, eh? .......... :lmao: ok, ok. As for the side quest, I was thinking about a bosmer hunter, who wanders the medium island. He looks a little bit different than the other hunters so the player might have intentions to talk to him. The bosmer though refuses to talk to him since he's an outside, a stranger, an intruder! He tells him that his trust and disposition must be earned. In his oppinion, outsider's aren't capable of anything else but cutting trees. Now it's on you to proove him wrong. If you'll decide to make him think better of strangers, he'll show off, telling you he finds himself an excellent marksman and the best hunter on the islands. He will take you to 3 different spots and hand you 3 different arrows. The targets are becoming harder to hit. Right now I have only one target, it's a brazier orb hanging on the crazy man's house. If you manage to hit all 3 targets with his arrows while standing in the area he assignes you to, I thought there might be happening some funny things, like setting off a fire or something. Once you're done with the quest, he'll think alot better of you, teach you in marksmanship (and maybe provide you with additional info on the main quests. Only maybe though) What do you think? - simonp92 - 02-04-2009 Thats brilliant! however, what if the player choses bosmers ending in the main quest. then the hunter would talk to the player right.?. - are your planning to give lore as a reward? i think that is a great idea, but i think most players would like some enchanted items.. -maybe both? think its a really nice idea, hope you will be able to script it.. PS. could you give me all the dialog lines for Captian Alusan? - i want his greetings. - the first thing he says when the player talks to him. - and also the thing he says after the player has agreed to go to valenwood. - what player says that he wants to waite going to valenwood. just so that we have Alusans voice lines out of the picture.. he is such a small part. i could get the guy in my sig do them.. - Deeza - 02-05-2009 Great to see you back again, windsurfer! I see the others have already started getting you up to speed. It's also great to know that the interiors are all done. I was partway through making one myself, and it's just as well that I didn't waste time doing something that's already been finished. You've come back at the perfect moment actually, as I'm going to be ridiculously busy for the next few days and unable to help much. See you all soon, and keep up the good work! Now that windsurfer's back I'm more confident than ever that we're going to finish this. :goodjob: - simonp92 - 02-05-2009 i have some lines from a female voice actor.. http://www.4shared.com/dir/11071857/d379090/sharing.html choose a line.. - windsurfer - 02-05-2009 simonp92 - Yer ill make it. What is it though? Concept art? Deezer - Thanks mate - i never meant to let this mod die its just i got stuck when hardware limitations stopped me completing the mod. There is 1 interior which is incomplete which is the large double story building. I never found a use for it. The interior has steps up to the top floor. So if it can be used in a quest then someone can complete that. I also made another interior for the Bosmer boat if that will be useful in any quests. - drmccoy - 02-05-2009 I'm still not too confident about using the new esms. Slight changes concerning landscapes, trees, etc can cause problems witht the esp's path grid that are sometimes not repairable. Too, if the new esm comes with all the interiors, that'd again mean that 1. the interior i created for the chief will be overwritten and I won't be able to use it (switching doormarkers from an esm can cause the esp to die aswell) And in the end: I'm not even positive that the esp will be able to load without the esm's it's depending on. Sorry guys that I'm being so concerned, but I just lost the Fort esp i did for the black marshes just because I didn't check the AddTopic Bugs (appearently, your other quests didn't do so either. I had to change them aswell). So I checked out all the possible bugs that can easiliy occur. That's why I'm being so touchy about it, I just don't want my whole Main Quest ESP to be killed because of something like that. Captain Alusans lines:
Here we go, that is actually all the is to him. - Deeza - 02-05-2009 I believe that TESGecko has advanced facilities which are designed to work around this kind of problem. There are options to exclude certain references from the merging process (for example, if 2 cells have the same name, you can choose the latest one ie. the one in your .esp) However I don't know all the ins and outs of how the process works. Sandor would know. Could you not swap the chief's interior you made into the empty one that windsurfer hasn't filled just by switching the doors? They look about the same size on the outside. Also, the wrecking-stone is an item from the main quest. It's an Aldmer artefact that the ancestors of the Bosmer brought to the islands. It can control the weather (via script effects). I thought of it as looking like a kidney stone (spiky, weird-shaped but organic-looking crystal). Look it up on the internet and you'll see what I mean. - drmccoy - 02-05-2009 As I said, switching doors in an esm can cause serious damage to your esp. There's only two more houses to be done either way. I'd rather volunteer to do those instead of using another esm. Too, because of the forum backup, the two quest descriptions have been erased. Could you post them again, deeza? - simonp92 - 02-05-2009 thanks for the lines... they have been sent to the actor. - windsurfer - 02-05-2009 OK i understand you worries i'm not saying we merge them just test to see if they work. How about you send me you .esp and i will playtest it using my new .esm and see if it works? I would like to see what the quest is like anyway? Ill also load it in the Cs to see if they are any compatibility issues. If they dont work i will have to re- merge all the files and do the coral again? |
