Evening, folks! I am the new modeler, Zaneeba_slave! I would like to start off my time on this Mod by showing you our new friend: the Sload!

What is a sload? Well, it's basically a giant magic slug frog. To get a better description of the Sload. one must click this link to go to the Elder Scrolls website.

I have always wanted one of these guys in Oblivion ever since I read about them. Never have I, until this point, had the ability to do so. This model is a definite work in progress. Quite frankly, I hate the feet and the hands I gave him. Everything else seems ok. Tell me what you think!

Btw, the feet look ok to me, but maybe you can make the forearms on the sload look more like the sload I linked to above (the fat hangs down a little more around the wrist/hand, and there's more of a "bulge" around the forearm where the forearm meets the upper arm

There was someone asking about Sloads on our Bethesda thread just recently. We have to get someone to do the animations here....a waddle or two will do... =)

Yeah, the hands and the arms are going to be worked on thoroughly. Maybe the tail too. I'll probably make the tail longer. Its really hard to tell what the tail, the hands, and the feet look like, on account of all that fat covering it all up. I have to improvise on all those things.

I love your work zaneeba and i was thinking about someone making the sload ever since ibsen sent me a PM stating that KP had a secret someone that can work wonders with modelling and well i guess that secret someone is you

Don't make the tail too long, because I found out with my long-ish centipede creature, that it would have half its body rigid and hanging off a rock edge, while the other half is neatly on the rock. The centipede can't automatically conform the rest of it's body down a rock edge for a more natural look when it's moving, nor can other Oblivion creatures. It's a game limitation.
This will be the most complicated creature I've tried to animate, so I hope I do well enough on it.

Hey that reminds me i need to open a topic with my modelling and I think ill skip the other sections of modding oblvion (Sorry Ibsen but im a bit focused on the naga right now)
because im started to get worried about this master modeller coming on the scene X( And i want to get down on the business of making a decent head and hairstyles,
One problem with the naga is that if people haven't noticed is that when wearing quest specific greaves or boots for a quest they wont simply work or they will show and ruin the whole look,
(Due to them showing but showing were they should be normally and so boots on a naga + Looks riduculous! so complete replica's of all objects but invisible? Maybe a script could handle this...)
Oh and zaneeba the sload reminds me of The Buddah (Maybe we could have variations but myself as a modeller know this is a dawnting task, Maybe just shrink the heavy "Fatty" parts and add some tattoos or something else altogether,
Even the shrinking the parts and adding tattoos would probably make a teen sload, So if we were going to make Sload Younglings then the model would have to be reduced dramatically because of most importantly the FPS would blow up without the reduction :lmao: And yes i have done some homework for modelling here).
Also one last thing will the sload be playable? I know most people will say "Hell No!"
but i do think it would be nice to future make this because that "Thras" project always dreamed of a playable sload and well we have a chance to keep that dream come alive? (Your Wondering "Why is this guy wanting everything to be playable, Why doesn't anyone ban him! he's so annoying X( " xD)

Really?? That's actually pretty cool to know! Thanks for telling me. I remember you wanting to model way back when, but I didn't know I was a factor.
So how do you like modeling thus far? I think it's exciting to see something come to life in 3D. And even more so when it can come to life in something functional like a game.

The sload are like worms when babies and then change into octopus-like water creatures when a little older. When mature, they are what zaneeba modeled. So says the wiki.
I can't really make the sload a playable race - too hard and long a time to do, and nearly impossible. It will have to be a creature.
