Silgrad Tower Title Screen - Zadama - 12-19-2010
Hi everyone,
I worked on this last night and wanted to share it here first. Quite simply, this mod replaces the vanilla Oblivion title screen; changing the logo, "Map loop" in the background and the music.
Both the new logo and map loop were created by myself. I took the Silgrad Tower map from the BSA, and used it to make a video where the camera moves diagonally (like the vanilla "Map loop"). I also made the logo on GIMP - I would have used the one on the banner, but couldn't propperly remake it. The original title music has also been replaced with the Morrowind title theme, but have also included the Silgrad Tower main theme as a second optional replacement.

There is a problem with pressing escape to cut to the title screen when the Bethesda Softworks logo appears. The map loop will only show the upper left part of the screen - if anyone could help me mend this, it would be much appreciated.
To stop this from happening at the moment, just wait until the "2k Games" logo appears, then press escape.

Maybe try making the text a contrasting color because currently it is very hard to see.
I think we have a better version of the map with city names and some fixes but I am not sure if I am allowed to make it publically avaliable. Currrently it's only internal.
EDIT: Are you allowed to distribute Morrowinds main theme? :eek:

I will change the colour of the text - what do you think would be the best?
I'm almost certain the theme can be redistributed - it used to be available for download by anyone on the official Elder Scrolls site, before the TESV teaser site was put up - that's where that mp3 is from in the file. If it isn't redistributable, I'll remove it

EDIT: For the text maybe a marone like color would be good. I think it would look different enough from the map but wouldn't ruin the feel either.

I've attached two versions of a new logo, which are more along the lines of the logo in the banner. One's got a pale yellow border, the other a grey one; I can't decide which one would be better :|

These logos look pretty nice! I quite like the one on the left. It stands out more than the other one and doesn't look as depressing.
Perhaps you could improve the tribunal symbol as well. It doesn't look very clear.
Are you also going to add a background behind this banner?

It turns out that I can't use that logo in the game, because of the Tribunal sign - Oblivion shrinks the logo down, making it unreadable. So, I decided to make this for the "Map loop" instead.

This takes the place of the "Map loop". It has much more of a "Morrowind" feel to it
I placed the banners of a few of the Great Houses where the text would be (Continue, New Game, etc), so that it is readable. The only problem here is that they are from the UESP, and I don't think they can actually be used because they are from Morrowind itself - if anyone could shed any light on this, i'd be grateful The original map loop I made, with the camera moving from Silgrad City and past Steadhelm, now takes the place of the video where the camera zooms out from the Oblivion logo.
