The old Daggerfall guild. I am thinking of reviving if for Blacklight
and putting together some quests for it. I would like your input on it.

Agree
ES3 Silgrad is working on Quests and Shrines Devoted to the Nine and the Knight Orders which follow them
We have in work thus far Arkay, Mara, Akatosh, Stendarr and Zenithar
we had not discussed Dibella or Talos yet, and we allready have Kynareth in Steadhelm
We had not decided on locations for most of these, except Mara is going
in Karthor Dale and though our claim post says Zenithar is going in
Steadhelm, as of now this is incorrect, but we may change that
That your wanting to put Dibella in Blacklight is great !
I hoipe we can get another in the Northern Regions as Well
Here is a draft of some of the ideas we have for the Knights
Imperial Temple Knights Discussion
your welcome to use this as a base, and suggestion of other ideas for these knight quests are most welcome
Let me know if I can help

Also to give a better story than what happened in Anvil (all the
priests killed). I have to think for one in Cormaris View as well.

I don't know much about it, but I think that this faction shouldn't be
much bigger then The knights of the thorn. Although I think that it is
a good idea to have some connections with Dibella or Kynareth. |

I am not familiar with the Knight Order set ups in ES, from the ES3
persective these knight orders will be part of the temple which they
follow and we don't intend on having more than 3 or 4 members per order

Given that so few people here have played Daggerfall (including me)
perhaps you should supply some information about it, Rodan?

There is very little info about the knights guilds, beyond the hint guides and they only list the names.

The last time I played Daggerfall was about two years ago, and it won't have been the last.
As I remember it, each county in High Rock or Hammerfell had a faction
of Knights. Joining one of these meant you could stay for free at Inns
across the county, you would have some respect amongst the people, and
as you gained ranks, you gained access to houses and land. You could
only join one Knight faction.
The quests in these factions were handled like most other quests; They
were chosen at random and could be completed more than once. Some might
be restricted to the higher ranks.

That is correct from my recollection
The Knight Orders were designed to protect the Priesthood which they
served, as in most Knight Orders. The Order of the Lily was devoted to
beauty and to protect such.
Dibella is the Diety of Beauty
They founded themselves (the order) due to the vanity of their priests,
which made it such that they could not protect themselves
The following is popular for both men and women and some aspects of the
cults were particular to their membership as in some were men only,
some women only, and some couples only

You're right (hangs his head in shame
). We can expand the guild, offer special spells, a free place to stay
in the temple, and when you get a high enough rank, complete control of
the guild or a large home from the guild.

Expand
As stated in previous (and above) its our intent to make these
joinable, in only 2 ways, through the priesthood, whereby once the
player reaches the rank below priest (I think 5), he/she will be
offered to continue in the priesthood (become a priest) or join the
knight order
The otherway is to get sponsership from a high ranking noble
and once a knight be send on various quests pertaiing to the order they are in
this one in particular being Dibella Order of the Lily, will be quested
with things which the diety encompasses (beauty) ie art, craft etc etc
