So, lets get worked out what architecture is going to be used in
Senaria. If you know of any good modders resources for Oblvion OR
Morrowind, please post them up, as even if its from Morrowind, with a
bit of updating it can be useful.
Ok, for Aelorkan architecture I was thinking a retexture
of Cheydinhal architecture with Farmhouse textures, and then some
slight modification and expansion of the set. Or we could use that for
the new settlement that gets built in the mountains by you and the
refugees. If we go that route, why don't we retexture Chorol
Archictecture to resemble the Raven Rock architecture in Morrowind?
Salondegon is going to be an updated and expanded version of this.
Raptor Man Architecture will need to be modeled from the
ground-up. It will be based off Aztec Architecture with some influence
from Hindu/Indian Architecture.
Armugian Architecture is already being made
Once Mighty Joe Young finishes up this resource we'll have everything we need, just might need a few tweaks and retextures.
The Desert Nomadic Humans will need some new tent/yurt meshes.
Desert City Architecture there will be one major city out in the
desert, this will be built on top of a massive spire of rock. The city
belongs to an evil sorceror and his thugs. This architecture by Veet is a good starting place for the city architecture, though it will still need a lot of work.
Doros Architecture can be based off Geonox's Imperial Buildings
for Morrowind, it will just need a retexture. If we don't use Chorrol
architecture for anything else, we can use that to finish of the Dorish
Architecture set once its retextured.
The Elven Architecture will have to be made from scratch, but we might be able to get some from Valenwood.
I'm not sure if the Manbeasts or the undecided beast race really warant
there own architecture set, I'm open to ideas as usual though.
I don't have a whole lot of ideas for the Ygarkheutch Architecture, something Nordic? Perhaps based off of Bruma? Or should we go for something really exotic looking with them?
So, anybody have ideas for architecture for the refugee town?
Also, these palisades once imported and retextured will be extremely valuable.
As I said above, please post up links to any cool architecture resources you know of.

Awesome Taj Mahal! Not sure if we want to use it for jousting though,
as it belongs in a desert, and sand kind of slows down jousts. Maybe
better used for a temple, or maybe it could contain a dungeon? |

I found something we could use for inspiration. These are pictures of
the entrance to the city of Petra, a city built in the mountains. (I am
also going to present this to Elsyer)

So, what do you guys think of using Cheydinhal Architecture with farm
house textures for Aelorkan Architecture? That will be a quick
retexture job, and if we do that we can open up Aelorkan city claims
once the textures are done

Yeah, that would be nice. Give people something other to do other than textures.

I'm not sure if this is what you envisioned or not, but from your
description of Manbeasts I didn't think they really had a central
society. It seemed like they were just a race that looked similar, but
roamed the desert indiscriminately attacking things. If that's the case
then they wouldn't really need an architecture set.
The same for the undecided beast race in the mountains. Even if they
weren't as violent as the manbeasts, being half animals would meant
they were extremely nomadic and lived in whatever cave they could find.
Similar to early human ancestors.

About the manbeasts you're probably right, I was just thinking we might
be able ot have some cool structures reminiscent of the Warcraft Orcish
structures.
For the guys in the mountains, we were thinking bird men that lived in
American Indian type dwellings-- which would probably be more exciting
than caves. |

I see where you're going with that now. Would the bird-men in the
mountains be violent, just distrustful, or outright friendly? When you
said their houses would be like Native American dwellings, I started
thinking of the refugees in relation to early explorers.
Some of the first explorers had problems with their men dying of scurvy
and lack of nutrients during the winter, until the Native Americans
showed them how to boil birch bark. This was a friendly kind of thing
to do. Later on, obviously, many Native Americans weren't so friendly.
How do you think the bird-men should act?

The bird men are extremely isolationist and territorial, but at the
same time pacifist, and courteous. The thing to realize about the bird
men is that there are very few of them, they can't afford a major
conflict. They were one of the few factions that allied with the humans
in the sundering war, and because of it the raptor men wreaked havoc on
there society. At the end of the war they with-drew deep into the
mountains, and haven't had contact with the outside world aside from
the rare lost adventurer. They would generally avoid contact with the
refugees-- though they may step in to aid them i.e. warn them of an
enemy imminent attack, but would have nothing to do with them if an
evil player leads them. IF you are noble, you just might be able to win
their friendship.
They might help them, they might not, depends how you develop the relationship between yourself and them.
