ok first I dont know if this is the right forum, but now to the real
question, are there any progects to recreate valenwood, high rock, the
black marsh, and the summerset isles. Well this came to me as I was
making a new char last night a magic wealding breton. And I waas
thinking wow I really like high elves, so I started to wonder if anyone
has started a project to create the summerset isles, I know there was
one for mw but it failed because it was one guy. Then I thought welll
since there are a few projects going on to recreate some of the
provinces and Akivir that making it should wait till valenwood was done
to actually start making it. Also if it has not been done I would love
to head it up. So anyone keen on this idea. Also I do wonder are any of
the other provinse being done.

"The Tavern" is usually a good board for most threads that don't fit elsewhere.
Check out these boards for a few projects affiliated with Silgrad Tower (and each other) that focus on other Provinces:
../index.htm
The Valenwood project is underway again, under FLESH's leadership. It
started up a few months ago but was then abandoned until he took up the
reigns.

Here is basically what I think what you'll have to do (and other stuff, and it isn't nearly as easy as it sounds).
Well, first start an affiliated project forum (see razorwing). Then,
advertise, then get a lot of concept arts and stuff together, then
watch as the mod (hopefully) comes alive! Be sure to put input in a
lot, and keep up with the team, and avertising. Good luck!

Absolutely. I'll help in any way I can (I help in any way I can for pretty much everything here!
) Anyway, I believe I could figure out a little bit of stuff for lore,
quests, etc... And yeah, I'll help get both Valenwood and Summerset
going (though I think Valenwood has a very good leader at the moment,
and is well under way.)

Hello there people. Looks like we have a big project going on here! I
have offered my services as a quest and storyline writer. Hopefully
this gets off the ground, as I have been waiting for new areas to be
developed. I will also be contacting a few more peeps to see if they
wish to join and hopefully this Group will fill in nicely...

Please post an extensive description of your project, including all the
information you assess we should know, and then the project leaders can
discuss and vote on the matter. The project leaders in this sense are
me Razorwing, Valderon, KuKulzA, Siegfried, SwedishFish, Upekkha and
FLESH. If a majority of the project leaders feel we should include your
project as an affiliate of the other projects, we can move on to
discussing things like forum boards.

The project leaders have discussed the matter and the general consensus
among us is that we would like to see your team and your project up and
running before making any decision. I assume you'll be wanting to do
that whether your project is part of Beyond Cyrodiil or not.
These criteria were brought up as a kind of "bar" your project would have to pass:
- Developing a plan for your main quest
- Gathering a rather big team (don't recruit internally please)
- Visible progress made in the modelling/texture department
- First city project underway
Once those criteria are true we'll feel more sure that your project
will live on and thrive. I opened this board because it was brought up
in the discussions that it would be unfair to set up those criteria
without you and your team having a place to discuss and draw up plans.
The board itself shouldn't be taken as "approval" of your project just
yet.
I should emphasize that this is the general consensus and not
necessarily my personal opinion; I'm just captioning the discussion the
project leaders had. What is my personal opinion though is that I think
the most important thing is that all of us recruit externally
rather than convincing folks from one project to go over to the other.
Sometimes folks hop inbetween projects of their own free will and
that's not a problem, of course. If new arrivals post a hello thread in
The Tavern everyone is free to speak on behalf of their project and why
the new member should take an interest in it. But actively recruiting
new members should preferrably be done on ESF and other places, and
that goes for all our projects in my opinion.
Oh, and let me know when you've made a banner for this board and I'll
replace the default one. It looks best if it's made the same size.
Good luck, and have fun. I'm sure it'll turn out to be a great mod.
