Ok going from what Sigfread (sorry bout the spelling) said I nead some progress befor I will be officaly acsetpted into beyond Cyrodiil, so hear we are I nead some ideas for quests, weapons, people, places (well beth already gave us the citys) any consept you will come up with is lovely hear, once it is made I will try to make a mesh for it so we can see what it might look like.
Hears some of my ideas.

Quests
PJSSS order: A pychic guild basicly
Main Quest: Revolves around deadra at first then unravles into some thing much biger (dont know yet but I dont want it all to be about the deadra)
Mages Guild of Summerset (i dont want this to be the same guild as the vainila one, its going to run a bit more like the mw one I would think)

Places
Crystal tower: A point I hope is vistited many times on many ocasions. I hope it will be like a side quest arc on its own.
Any where thats on the map so far (i'll get a link soon)


People
not so sure yet.

Weapons/armor
Something mistic such as crowns, runes, and the such
Mabey a mask or something of the like.

I suggest making the Psjich Order (spelling) a part of the mainquest, like the Blades, as it would be quite difficult to create a faction with psychic powers, it would likely end up being very similar to the mages guild.
For the mainquest here are some suggestions:

The Altmer often war against the Sload and Maromer, they could be a part of the mainquest.

By Daedra I assume you mean Daedra worshiping cults, you could have some kind of an uprising and power struggle between the cults and Altmer Royalty.

The Altmer could try to secede from the Empire.

Architecture:
You could likely for one of your tilesets get away with a retextured of the Imperial City Architecture, as it is elven in origin.

ok hmm I was think that, PSJJJ is actualy rather difrent from the mages guild, if I have gathered the right info, I mean yes they are both magic wealders. OK I like the ideas for the main quest so I think I just nead to refine and and more detail, as I want the mq to be rather leghnthy but intresting like lotr. Haha bad joke. But ok so main quest hears what I have so far as in order tell me what you guys think.

1: Travel to Summerset on a mission from the mages guild or just for fun.
2:Arive at Firsthold and are exposed to the strong deadric worshiping in the Isles.
3:After saveing some towns people, the mayor (i'll call it this for now as I havent put enogh thought into it) calls you to his office to have you go and investigate some of the cults.

Ok so I think haveing the mages guild part and the just for fun part will lead on two paths that intertwine, also well thats all I have for now I nead to sleap on it. But your investigations will have you first travel back to the au to get your orders that you have the right to investigate to your full potential (or something like that, then you Join the PSJJJ and find the history of the Tribunal Sotha Sill who was a member. This will take you all over the island(s) To the point where the dearic cults and the Royals start to fight. Then the char must take a side and this will be the last 1/4 of the mq where it desides the fate of the island(s).

Ok so thats a rough skeatch of what I think sould happen I know it will be changed along the way but tell me what you all think and tell me what you think should change

The main quest should heavily involve the unique altemri culter, I don't want a generic story in an awe inspiring setting.

Hi all, just posted a count me in welcome thread, might be an idea to pin it.

There are a few threads that I am duplicating for all the genuinely participating Associated Mods. The Summerset Isle Superior Botany Books thread will be appearing soon, along with the Imperial Frontier Style Fort Tileset recommendation.

Talking about the Psyjiics puts me in mind of their disappearing Isle...might it re-appear in response to the (fred) Gates Threat?

There is a faction in the Altmeri ranks that wants to secede from the Empire, and causes trouble (refusing to sell theatre tickets, bagels, fresh fruit salads, classical music and literature to the Imperials) but they cannot succeed...because the Imperials are too uncultured to fully appreciate that no civilisation can survive without these essentials!

We'll have to find the relevant Lore Books, post and pin them for reference. If this is not to be vanilla or generic (100% with that thought) then much has to flow from the stories involving the Altmer and their Ancient Civilisation that we have all come to know and love.

The majic has to be heavily influenced by Psyjiic principals, and we willl have to research that very carefully.

I hate factions where when you "join" them its just part of the main quest, and the guild isn't unique at all. Especially a good guild like that.

I also agree with what Dark Asmodeus said. Don't make the story "Zomg save the provibce friom dustrushun!!!1"

Also for cities make sure that they aren't in they're own worldspace unless we don't have the landmass built (Something very important for any mod team)

First I say take a vote on that (goes and makes a poll soon) storyline guild thing, second we'll see if we like the whole save landmass from destrution thing. Personaly I dont like it either but we would have to deside how to not do that. Finaly I never liked thee whole city in its own world space thing so no city=own world space.

I say make it a part of the Mainquest, and as you go forward you get powerful scripted spell that the order teaches you. It would be great as a faction, but it seems like getting into the Psijic order is a pretty major achievement, so maybe it should be a part of the mainquest. Also I'm concerned that as a non MQ faction it may end up just being like a Mages Guild rehash with unique names.

Cool sense to me too. Another aspect is the map of the Province - that is part and parcel of the Lore, and will also affect our imaginations when it really comes to mainquest time. Who does maps?

first of all, PSJJJ is not a guild. and never should be. PSJJJ is the first effect Anu Had on Padomay (potential had on change)[very simplified] not the name of the psijic order. also, even though the psijic order is accepting a lot more members as of late, I don?t think that they would accept the player (since he basically has just arrived on SI)

on the topic of psijics, Adanorcil (a great modder, one of the few true lore masters, and the newest librarian) is doing a Artaeum mod witch is bound to kick ass (judging from concepts, models, and descriptions)

Civil War is often
Imperial Goods being halted at the moment
Sload Necromancers have dens all threwout the Island attack very often.
Mameror have a small army now and do some costal and land raids.

First part of the Mainquest could be killing off a big coven of Sload Necromancers amassing a huge undead army.

Second Could be trying to figure out why the Altmer have stopped imperial goods.

Third could be 2 Altmer lords are at war from 2 towns. Both towns are under attack daily but either lord has enough men to take the tide.

Forth part could be the mameror have docked secretly somewhere in the souther parts of the Island Of summerset. Have setup base in some cove. And now just burned down a local town and have taken all the goods and people as slaves. They are attacking another town but you halt it. Then you fight them on some fields close to the Cove. Next you attack the cove and try to destroy their ships.



Second you cant just go up to the pysic order and say hey I want to join. You are choosen from birth there is a certain sign about you so I say dont join them but they help guide you.

For a reward a small estate with the suriviors maybes. A Manor a couple of houses with a merchant tavern and blacksmith and your own town guards who follow you.

I say implement the events going on in Summerset, but don't actually twist them through the actions of the player. For example, I think we should enforce the daedra worship, but don't allow the player to do anything about it in case Bethesda decides that it is going to be central on the next expansion/game.

Mages guild and a fighters guild equivelent will be neccasary, but lets try not to get generic.

Carpenters

Sload killing vigilanties

Enchanters guild

Old Traditional keep that serves no combat purpose, looking to be brought back into use (player controled faction, manage a village and soldiers)

Ok the reason I wanted to add the Mages Guild in was that it was Formed in Summerset, other wise I wanted to have difrent factions. So people could we think of difrent factions than the ones in the main game, we waant uniquness so we must strey away from whats in the main game, think of summerset as its self pretend there is no other place (save for the information and lore thats dependent of it) that is how I think we will form a unique mod unlike any other.

Could there not be a single well maintaned garrison of imperials to provide the quests? I want more unique, less combat oriented guilds

what about a trainers guild?
Altmeri train betmeri especially goblins for war... maybe you can train goblins! maybe have your own small goblin army! maybe trained them by fighting one at a time, but not kiling and get an army together... and the more often you train them the better they get until they all reach a certain level cap, with the higher ranks having higher level caps and then having a strong goblin army could help you in many ways...

Think we still have to get deep enuf into the Altmeri Lore before deciding Guilds for finals - have you considered any of the Noble Houses as joinable? What else is there that is essential to the Summerset Society and unique? (- a literature Guild? :evil grin:)

Have you considered the Ancient Relationship with the Bosmer - I believe that the Altmer ruled them at on time - so there should be at least one faction that wants to turn back that clock! - and is there a possible Border with Valenwood = see the proposals for a separate 'war zone' shared between Summerset and Valenwood as is being proposed between Valenwood and Elsweyr...

There will be problems with the Gates all over Tamriel, including Summerset, and in Summerset knowledge of these should be far more detailed and the people far more knowledgeable about the Daedra and their society. So daedra should be much more than just 'monsters - apply RAI to them...

The Psyjiics have to be included. And dealt with subtly. We have not yet got into their mindset as a team - so we must read more - damn this heatwave - more work - but fun.

Lady N hits the nail on the head again re the Psyjiics and this is why I value her gutsy input - who is this modder she has mentioned? And who is he connected with? If it is TR then that is in bad taste (sorry dear, but...) I dunno but if an independant, then does he want in?
