I found a few good books about its histroy

So for lay out I think Mabey some style of Imerial fort as the outerwall then for now Buildings from the imerial city for the iner city. Also rember this is a port city.

This is all your creation, my ideas are only oppinions, but I think gathering concept art is never a bad thing, but proffesional concept art that is made before they have seen anyone elses is usualy fantastic for ideas, I say make a SPELL CHECKED thread hyping up the project, listing some ideas, and calling for modders, concept artists, and modlers, remembering to post some work that needs doing right away phrased to sound exciting.

The Imperial city was constructed by Ayleid Elves, you could create new textures for it and use that for one of your High Elven tilesets.

Ayleids would have been inlfuenced by the high elves. You could for one your tilesets take the Imperial City architecture and modify it to be more elegant, curving, graceful, and sexy.

I think you guys might find this mod valuable: http://www.tessource.net/files/cache/4855.html You could always use modifications of it for one architecture set. Also since it is probably elven architecture in the purest and most traditional form found in an Elder Scrolls game, it would serve as a good reference point/source of inspiration in the creation of other High Elven architecture.

Don't go overboard with glowmaps and stuff, just make a part of it glow mapped. Why not use that for First Hold, it wouldn't be as original, but you could start working with it in just a few days, and it would still make for a really impressive city, full of bridges, spires, ect.

Ok thanks to sieg we have something to work with for Firsthold architecture, check the architecture topic for it.

Now we dont even have land to work on so for Firsthold I want to take a vote should we have this be its own world space of should we make the land for Summerset then First hold?

You have mod privileges on this board, so you should be able to use the split function found at the bottom right of the page under administrative functions to split the latter part of the Imperial forts thread and bring the discussion of the Ayleid Architecture being used for First Hold into this thread. Also you might want to change the old thread's name from Imperial Forts to Altmer Architecture, as there is really very little in there that has to do with Imperial Forts.

So keep it in its own world space then, mabey some of them but I know I def want the Crystal Tower to be part of the Main island and not its own space, this way you have the best view in all the island.

...you can still have a view and have it's own worldspace, its not like the world end outside of the walls. Everything is just LOD, like it owuld be anyway, everything you see in the distance in the main worldspace is there in the seperate one.

What about it? We can make our "empty" worldspace however we want, and include all the detail we want. Heck, all the cities can even be in the same worldspace, so they are all visible in full detail, and we still have all the advantages of the mnot being on the terrain.
