Wow, I mean...wow, just.....please?
I think we should have Oceanic Dwemer, the ones who will have built
domes underwater and invent oxygen masks, though that armor probably
wouldn't be too practical for swimming.

I know its far fetched... but possible for small groups...
Dwemer with oxygen-enchanted armor, enchanted with feather spell...
why cause the waters of Morrowind in the old days were ruled by
Dreugh... and when ya got four armed cunning sea beasties with crab
claws and octopus tentacles as big or bigger than you... you need to be
protected... unless you're damn crazy like a Dreugh jigger and go down
naked wearing a Jigger mask |

He is sharing with Dumac, and I belive also Vvardenfell. He said
Silgrad Tower could use them, and although I did ask if Vvardenfell
could use them, he was a bit vague. Hopefully he will clear that up
here, though I can't imagine he would not let you use them.
His tileset is not exactly like the one in Morrowind, because his the
dwemer in his mod (clan rourken I belive) broke off from the extinct
dwemer, but TheImperialDragon is making us a dwemer tileset, so what
you're interested in is the models in the lovely screenshots, including
a chair, table, shelf, cog, ect.
Again, don't worry because he'll probably give you explicit permission soon (whenever he's next on)

from what I understand Rourken was a large and powerful clan... and
their exodus was enough to cause a big disturbance... and they were
also able to make a relatively powerful and large civiliation in
Volenfell... just one clan... so I think its possible that they were a
large enough distinct group to have had certain differences from other
Dwemer clans and that their architecture, while slightly different from
others', would be seen in their old holding back in Vvardenfell and fit
in alright |

We actually have Lore on their differnces
Their writing style is differnt, and their architecture is differnt
(well exteriors anyway), being more vibrant in colour. And as far as
technology goes, they were the ones who invented the Dwemer Airship.
In the Thras mod, the lore is that Rourken, through the inventions of
Air, and water travel, were able to expand out into the Eltheric Ocean
and Abcean Sea (This is based on the fact that Stros M'kai has Dwemer
Ruins). The Dwemer of Morrowind however were to focused on exploring
the depths of the earth, and because of this most of their technology
was based around steam and fire, something that was provided naturally
by Dagoth Ur (the mountain
).
Anyway because the Rourkan traveled in the Eltheric, they formed strong
bonds with the Sload of Thras. This bond was especially strong because
of the Sloadic and Dwemeri cultures, with their set of morality, the
Dwemer had no moral implications about what the Sload practised
(necromancy) and therefore they were able to get along with the Sload
better than any other race; and through this bond both of the societys
florished, especially the Sload, who by using the principles already
used by the Dwemer, were able to create their own airships (this is all
heavily based on Lore aswell
), aswell as other things, such as creatures of metal (hint hint, and this is also another thing mentioned in Lore).
TOYB
Oh and please stay off the topic of other mods, that should really be
focused on in another thread, preferibly not in the Thras forum.

cool, I realized the part of Sload with Dwemer tech but did not realize
they had strong bonds before the Rourken disappearance... as for the
mention of other projects I only mentioned it as Rourken are Dwemer,
and had come from Morrowind, probably near Vvardenfell as that was the
kingdom of Dwemer, I don't mean to hijak or anything
but I look forward to see how Rourken things will appear

I see that I made an impact here!
OK, let`s talk, all who want to use these models must
PM me, this is not official in any mod out there at the time, and I
hope that I will finish my C.O.R.E.2 soon so that all could enjoy my
work and get usual "use as long you give me credit" stuff. All moders
at Silgrad Tower have my OK for usage of these models ( more will come
soon as I make them for CORE2 )
Now about Rourken lore, I do have my own lore and I will post it, but
beware, this lore is for my survivors of Dwemer, and not for events
prior to "Red Mountain Incident". So here we go...
quote: |
FACTS
Taking advantage of the Nordic War of Succession, the Indoril Nerevar
of Chimer and Dumac King of Dwemer unite and drive the Nords out
Velothi
( later Morrowind ). In year 420 of First Era, Dwemer and Chimer unite
in Kingdom of Resdayn. The Rourken Clan, refusing to unite with the
Chimer, leave Resdayn and travel westward to a desert land that is
called Volenfell ( later Hammerfell ). In year 668 of First Era Nerevar
hears
rumours of Numidium and confronts Dumac. The two races go to war, and
the Dwemer disappear. But not realy all, Yagrum Bagarn is the last
living
Dwemer and one of Kagrenac's Tonal Architects. Bagarn was in the Outer
Realms when the rest of his race disappeared, so he was unaffected by
the
event. He wandered Morrowind for many years searching for other Dwemer,
to no avail. Eventually he caught Corprus and descended into madness
for many years. He is now housed in the Corpusarium at Tel Fyr and is
mostly conscious, though he does not have full control of his body or
mind.

As for fonts that I will be using in my mod, I made changes to Dwemer
font I found on some Russian site. I added missing letters and created
this

All I get is this:
We currently do not have an article with this exact name

Dwemer is dwemer. No one has sucessfully translated it yet, it's
impossible, those that have tried said it was only random nonsense. I
do think there is a translation somewhere, but the writings are in a
whole different language, not just different symbols like Daedric.
