This project was so alive the whole time after the forum was put up here, and now it got so quiet. Where is everyone?

They ran way lol
Not too sure, though the forums themselves seem to see less activiity everyday.

I'm not liking this. If there is no new activity for a while, this will
not look good for the mod and it may be dropped. It's still only in the
consideration phase after all.

I hope not the more mods the better, maybe put it on the side-lines
till people are free but do not drop it. Anyway maybe people are just
resting or are busy and will appear again soon.

This is not the time to be resting people!
Thras has to show it can survive and produce models, new textures, lore/quests, etc.
If the team members stop working on the mod now, Thrass will not get proper BC forums.
I agree with InsanitySorrow "the forums themselves seem to see less activiity everyday"

if Thras' momentum is gone already then, well, it's dead
all projects might've seen a little less, but for a new project...
that's like a baby having a stunted growth, its gonna be messed up
somehow, whether in its growth timing, whether it grows at all, or even
if it survives....
I dunno if thats a good analogy, but the beginning stage is a crucial moment
best of luck, we're all dealing witha dwindling pool of dedicated modders

I'm still here. I was asked to join Thras as Head of Exteriors, and so
I did. But since there are no exteriors yet, it gives me very little to
do concerning Thras.
Of course I can do more than reviewing exteriors, but at the current stage of Thras I cannot do much to help.
I don't totally agree with InsanitySorrow that the forums themselves
see less activity everyday. There are modders who work very hard on the
interior claims and make some really beautiful interiors that are
reviewed and merged into the main esm. Yet it's true that in a certain
way the forums don't see as much activity as some months ago. But I
certainly don't think that everyone is just resting.

no, but we all need modelers, and when we don't have all the modelers we need... or all the models made...
doesn't Thras have a large number of modelers?
I'm not sure but I thought there was

The forums see plenty of activity, but not all of it is in the form of
posts. For example over at the Morag Tong right now, there's not a
whole lot to talk about, because i'm making a mansion, and haven't
started the quests. Once I get done with the mansion, i'll start on
quests, and then healthy debate will start back up.
Other parts of the forum such as Vvardenfell are waiting for tilesets
and such, but things are still getting done, there just isn't much to
talk about. But things are getting done. Moldcave will be done in
another month, Hlaalu tileset is done, and inevitably more tilesets
will be claimed, and discussion will start up again.
I know Dumac is waiting on many models before we can start.
RideWithTheWind is diligently working on them, and the interior tileset
is being worked on by TID. It's all proceeding slowly, but this is a
long-term mod.

true that
but when there's a new mod its usually bustling with activity
the fact its not quite bustling could be a concern?

Now now, anger and violence will get you nowhere. If you kill
razorwing, this site goes poof. Better to calmly ask him what the
holdup is.
Here's how i'd phrase it:
Razorwing:
I realize that the leaders of Beyond Cyrodiil and the Silgrad Tower
core have been very busy of late, with v.2 released and all, so I was
wondering what the status of Thras is to be?
As you can see, we have many models made already, and indeed have a
heightmap, three interweaving main questlines, and concepts for several
daedric realms.
Unfortunately, we have no permanent forum yet, and are reluctant to
clutter up the Common Room with our temporary forums. We would like to
know if and when we can expect to have our own forum
If neccessary, we can produce more models and get started on some of
the cities, but having an official forum would make us feel more
welcome, and energize our efforts to create Thras for TESIV.
Thank you for your time
That's how you ask for something you know? I'm not sure how much I got
right in there, but i'd say it'd get a nice civil response to it, and
if you don't get your own forums, you'll at least know why there is a
holdup, and what you can do to boost confidence and alleviate the
problem

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I'm still interested in
both this mod and the Vvardenfell mod, but a couple of things have
happened that have taken me away a little.
Firstly, since installing the patch my PC will NOT run Oblivion. It
CTDs at the first screen. It seems the only remedy is to format the
machine and not play Shivering Isles, which I'm not doing, frankly.
This has dampened my enthusiasm a fair bit.
Secondly, I've been accepted onto a course that runs for six weeks in the summer, and will be very, very intensive. That means
I have to finish a novel by June 14th. Honest. I have to. As I'm a good
30,000 words off finishing, never mind the rewrites, I won't have time
for anything else.
Which is a roundabout way of saying, I won't be able to work on mods
until August / September. If anyone would like to take over the
Nocturnal mod, please feel free. I have collected some research over on
the Planes of Oblvion forum you may find useful.
Sorry folks, and the best of luck with everything. Keep your spirits up!

You shouldn't be on game forums while at school anyway.
Thats the point, this isn't really concerning Thras, The Planes of Oblivion
is pretty much its own project. Look at the Moonshadow thread. As of
now its got 100 replies, 1,696 views, thats more than twice of any
other thread, its out of place, it needs its own forum, as its
basically its own project. Since I created that forum, i've noticed
this forum has died, but thats no fault of mine, it obviously means
theres little or no interest left in Thras.
Go look in that forum, theres like 9 topics with like 100 posts,
imagine all that being posted here, we may as well rename this the
Moonshadow forums as thats all it would be here. Thats why theres
another forum, a thread for each area of planning, which is necessary,
and something we can't do here.
What your'e doing by ignoring mine and TOYB's requests to use the other
forum I think is blatently rude. It takes five seconds (maybe ten if
you're slow) to sign up and post there.
The only reason i'm here is because i'm helping out with Moonshadow for
TES4, as i'm also making my own Moonshadow for TES3, and have been for
a while now. I made the forum so that the people working on Moonshadow
could focus on that mod (and others too), as I would also use it for
planning my own mod, which I can't do here.
I personally think, especially due to the decline of interest in Thras, that The Planes of Oblivion should
be its own project. Of course it can easily tie in with Thras if either
project is ever completed, but I think its a good enough idea to go
ahead as its own project.
Anyway, I can very easily make that forum into a Thras forum, all I
have to do is change the banner, url, add a new catergory and its done.
Heres the link to the forums: http://z4.invisionfree.com/Planes_of_Oblivion/index.php
