Chivalry, Honour and Virtue ? By The Old Ye Bard (WIP)

As Knights of the Circle we must follow the codes of Chivalry, Honour and Virtue that help us to preform our duties to our countrymen, the Order of Arkay and Arkay himself. The codes are sacred, and were handed to us from the lips of those closest to our lord, Arkay.

I. We must protect the Order of Arkay, and serve the Faith.

II. We must bring protect the natural order of Arkay.

III. We must fight the abominations of the Necromancer, and his Dark Arts.

??Sir Garphield slew the dark creature that had sprung from the vile mouth of Mannimarco, [the] maggot King, but he knew his work was still not done, so he continued to fight against the abominations of the Dark Lord, until his bones did break, and his flesh did tear, it was then that Arkay smiled upon him, releasing him from his mortal constraints, giving him freedom from his pain and suffering??

IV. We must be wise in the face of ignorance.

??The sky darkened, and the water turned to blood, the land into flesh and the people into dust, it was then Mehrunes Dagon turned and said to Lord Habard, are you afraid mortal? But Lord Habard replied that he wasn?t, and that he saw through the demons trickery. Then, as time itself had been undone, everything went back to how it was??

V. We must have courage in defensive of our cause, no matter what it might be, as long as it is just and true.

??Gregory stole into the woods, fearing the villagers would hunt him down, for what he had done. But wherever he went a tree blocked his path. Gregory stopped and turned to face back where he had come from, Rafael his brother approached him??

VI. We must feel sympathy to those fallen from Arkay?s guiding light.

??Harris looked upon the poor soul he had taken life from, and felt sympathy towards her. His eyes began to swell, and tears ran down his face, he picked up the woman and took her into the forest, where he buried her under the protection of Arkay??

VII. We must be sincere in our work.

IIX. We must have Obedience in the name of Arkay.

??Arkay then told Gray-Heart to stand with back up against the tree, and that he would be protected from harm as long as he did. Gray-Heart did as he was told, it was then that Arkay left his side, and a pack of wolves could be heard in the distance. The howls of the wolves got ever closer, yet like Arkay had said to Gray-Heart was unflinching, obeying his lord even in the face of the wolves. The wolves came right up to Gray-Heart, but still he was un-moved by their presence. It was then that Arkay spoke, and the wolves scampered away...?

IX. We must have mercy on the weak, the poor and the suffering, and forgive those who have done wrong.

??As the Sir Archibald passed by, he heard a young lad curse in the name of Arkay. As quick as a shadow, he pushed the young boy into the mud. The young boy cowered in front of the Knight; he had not meant to curse in the name of Arkay. He pleaded to the Knight to have mercy. The Knight looked at what he had done, he had wronged to try and make a right. He outstretched his hand to the boy, and lifted him from the mud; he apologised, and then asked for his forgiveness. The young boy then grew to then form of Arkay, and smiled upon Archibald??

X. We must be loyal to the Order, and to our faith.

XI. We must be humble in the face of personal greed.

??Sanguine looked at Sir Tumbler and he asked him wether he wanted a life of riches, wealth and lordship or a life of hardship, strife and loss. Sir Tumbler replied that he wanted only to serve his lord, to eat his bread, and to receive nothing more in return than what he was given. To this Sanguine was puzzled, for he knew nothing of what the Knight spoke of??

XII. We must Honour Arkay above all else
