Misc Quest: Broken Swords, and Bad Tricks ? By The Old Ye Bard.

You talk to a (Redguard) man named Lirael.

Lirael: Hello Traveller, would you be so kind as to run me an errand in Town for me?

Player: A. Yes (carry on with the quest)
B. No (You can come back to it later)

Lirael: Great, I need you to take this Sabre to the smith (Redguard) Hirfen Jherls for fixing. You must only take it to him for fixing; as he has already done half the job and knows what stage it is at.
Player receives Lirael's Sabre.

Player take's the Sabre to Hirfen Jherls.

Hirfen: Welcome Traveller.

Player: Lirael told me to bring this to you for fixing; he said you had only done half of the job.

Hirfen: That bastard! I'm sorry traveller, but I cannot take this from you, knowing what it is. This sword has been cursed, you cannot do away with it unless someone willingly takes it from you, and while you have it you will carry the disease of "Fiery Goxbiergir" making your lungs ache, and your legs burn. I should know, as I was the one who cursed it. Lirael stole this sword many years ago from my Smithy, he thought he could get away with it and he did. A few days ago, he brought this sword in for fixing, however I didn't fix it and cursed it instead! But it seems you have been caught in this trap of mine, and his.

Player: How do I rid myself of this then?

Hirfen: A. If disposition 90+: Well I guess I could take it off you for a price, of say 100 gold... (Quest Ends)
B, If Disposition 89-: You could give it back to Lirael, claiming it to have been fixed by me. It would definitely show him! (Quest continues)

Player goes back to Lirael with the sword.

Lirael: Ah, so you got Hirfen to fix it for me, eh? I didn't think the old man would back down so easily.

Player: Here is the sword.

Lirael: Thank you... wait, this sword hasn't been fixed! You trickster! You demon! I shall have your head for this!

Lirael now attacks you.

When you have killed him, you can pick up the sword.

You bring back the sword to Hirfen.

Hirfen: Lirael is dead?! I didn't think this would get so out-of-hand. I will take the sword off you; I should have taken the curse off when I had the chance. Please accept this non-cursed sword as a token gesture, I at least owe you this much.

Player receives a Silver Cutlass.

End.
