Moonshadow Heightmap Reply to this Post Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Posts Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I've already given this to lsimm14, who was going to be working on it, but i'll show it again here anyway. I made the heightmap for my own Moonshadow (TES3) mod, and I converted it over for this mod. Lightwave helped convert it and its looking great. He generated LOD and took some screenshots to show the scale and how its looking.

Screenshots

As you can see its looking rather blocky (the coasts too), but as work is done on each area it can be smoothed it out as you go. You'll also notice that its got vertex shading on it, if you look at the LOD textures you can see that i've imported my vertex texture map along with the heightmap. So on the ground you'll notice darker areas, its much more noticable if you view the land from high up, for example you can see the base of the city. As you make each area you can clear it out as you go, by replacing the black with white and making your own shading.

If you wish to download this you can get it here: Download (Worldspace is MSDawn)

Also, I made a mini 3d table map of it, in MW Nif format, which you can get here if you want to check it out: 3d Map

Looking good Good job! Once the forums have been set up, and we are in full working order, I'll put some claims up for Moonshadow Yes

Hey V7.

It looks good from a height, but am I the only one who thinks it looks a tad unimaginative/broing? The Shivering Isles were great because the edges of the land were very broken up (with smaller islets), same with Morrowind.

The moon island looks awesome, maybe rough up the edges a little bit more. The star, majorly rough up the spines of the star (wayyy too perfect) and give it more varied land than being mostly flat.
