Ok, good news!

I have the first Thras ESM containing about half of Meridia's Plane's layout. It's only 4 rooms, but we can open up claims for those and branch out from there. Also included is the completed Ayleid Set containing the first huge set, the few pieces of unique architecture for Meridia, and in this release I added a Welkynd Column and a small Corrupted Shadow Set.


Where do we go from here? Should we have someone check it out and make sure it's clean first? Just release it to the public? I'm hesitant to make a decision when it's not my place to.

But now we have progress going on now, awesome!

We shouldn't make it "public" as such, but release it on our own boards, to our members, with a no-touching policy to other modders who want to use it in their mods (atleast for the time being).

I don't think it needs to be cleaned as such, it's good as it is.

What would be nice, if you could also merge the Heightmaps we have into a single .esm file (Moonshadow + Thras), for modders to start working on Yes

Anyway, I'll be working on my own stuff for the next release of the Thras .esm (other one can be called Height Map .esm I guess :) ).

If you or Vality can compile the heightmaps to an ESP it will be easy to merge them in. I'm developing the rest of Meridia's area, which will include the corrupted area.

No, it's best if the Height Map.esm and the main files .esm are kept seperate, to avoid load problems, etc Yes

But I'll get onto merging the Height Maps into one file Yes

BTW, the "town" area of Meridia's realm, I still want to do myself (because I need to specialise it to flow with Lore, and the MQ).

I left an empty walkway thing, which we can put a door which will eventually lead to the main city.

Ok, after thinking about how to make all this work, I'm going to let you build your main city first the way you envision it. Then I can fit my layouts in appropriate spots once the main area is complete. Does that sound fair to you? Or would you rather we get the heightmaps sorted out first?
