I was just wondering what the status of Thras is?
along with a lot of the other projects, its very hard to get involved
in these projects because the lack of present information of where the
actual project is in development.
I have found in this and othe projects similar to this that I cant
really get involved because I have no idea where the project stands,
and what needs done at present time.
thanks

Any progress on the re-organisation TOYB? This project is looking pretty dead right now.

Planning is still happening, I promise, we're talking things over, not as much we should, though.

It's been close to a month since you posted and I'm genuinly curious what Thras' status is.

Erg, I'm pretty certain it's hosed now. I haven't talked to TOYB in a while, so hopefully and maybe hes' working on something.

I agree. This mod has been dead for quite a while, and the prospect of
it coming back may be too distant or too unlikely to consider. |

Another failure of leadership.
I don't understand it. I know some people just aren't that sort of
person, that's fine, but why ask for modspace and other people's labor
if you are unwilling to pursue your project?

I suppose with modding this happens quite often. Devotion is hard to
come by, as it requires lots of time which apparently some people are
unable to do, which is understandable. I just do not think it is a good
idea to start a mod if the starter doesn't have enough time or
knowledge of modding. |

Sorry for the lack of an update, I haven't seen Brian on MSN lately so it's been hard to organise.
Anyway, to answer some questions:
1) What is this 'big change' that has been brought up several times?
1a) We are reforming the mod for a 1E Cyrod mod. This is due to the
current team leaders interest more forcused on the Ayleidoon (being me,
IATE, and Brian), and with the oringinal mod founder leaving us awhile
ago (which was MarshallR, and to clear anything up, Thras was not my
idea to begin with, I was just helping him out with his mod to begin
with).
2) Why has there been a lack of an update?
2a) This is mainly due to the start of a new school year for me, and my
heavy workload which came about when I decided I wanted to do three art
subjects at once (wasn't too good of an idea).
3) Has any progress actually been made on the mod since the last update?
3a) Yes, there has been. Brian S has been working on some more
literature, and I have gotten some modeling done, aswell as becomming
more adept with modeling (I've got a full understanding of colision
now), I'm unsure of the progress IATE has made, but the last I spoke to
him he had some Ayleid Architecture retexes to be included.
4) If the mod is going through a full revamp, including a name change, is it right for it still to be in the BC?
4a) This is to be decided by the BC leaders, I understand that this is
a major change, and will almost certainly be viewed as a new mod. We
understand that we have been inactive for the last month-or-so, and
accept that we may have to re-apply to the BC under the new name, and
go through the process of being reviewed. We also accept that the BC
may no longer want to be affiliated with the mod, as there has been a
limited amount of progess collectively, and in those circumstances we
will get some new boards from which to base the mod from.
Thank you,
The Old Ye Bard

Ah, I stop in once in a while. Been kind of busy with school as well.
But I do have an ayleid set redone that will have the new pristine look
before they became ruins. I redid the UV on several of them to match
the Camoran Paradise pieces as well, such as the bridges. We do,
however, need some new pieces modelled, because some parts of the
ruined set have no alternatives that aren't broken, such as the ends of
the bridges.
Progress has been very slow, I've been working on my own stuff for a
bit and dealing with other problems IRL (which always takes top
priority), but it hasn't been forgotten. We intend to keep working on
it.
