Do you think you can fix the duplicate issue? If not, we may have to
pass it on to Sandor later (he's the expert on that sort of thing). The
bottom line is - are you still able to work on it?
If you could do the pathgrid that would be great.
Here's the dialogue you asked for:

I have the same problem. I believe that its caused by compatibility
issues with another mod. We will try to get that fixed later on. My
copy of Oblivion is so over-modded it barely works. I need to do a

about the voice acting..
it could try asking the old Cyrodiil upgrade team, which I once was a
part of, if anybody would be interrested in doing a few lines for us, I
especially has a female voice actor in my mind,,
you think it would be a good idea??

Yes, definitely - voice actresses are quite rare! I think Ibsen's Ghost
used to work with the CUT as well, but perhaps he used a different
name... I really should PM him and ask if he is interested in helping.
By the way, have you tried playing the mod yet? There seem to be some
issues with the landscape not appearing in-game and I wanted to know if
you have a similar problem.
@drmccoy:
Its strange about the invisible ground. I think we will need sandor to
take a look at it, but he's really hard to find. And yet, I know that
it CAN work, because windsurfer used to make videos of the islands
in-game. Perhaps it's an issue with an update patch for the game?
More dialogue for Craelius:
"It's beautiful out here. The cheese, the sweetrolls... they no longer
matter. Don't you see, I am now at one with my inner mudcrab! Now there
is nothing I cannot do!"
"The fish! They are all around me, nibbling! But I'm smarter than them. I'll turn the tables, just you wait!"

Currently asking in the official bethesda cs forum about the landscape
matter. Quest Progress = Player and Sammanul are checking the larger
island for food and water.

I didn't check it. Besides the landmass, the houses and the cave are
missing aswell. The door to the cave is not working and the door to the
little ship on the larger island is locked impossible. I haven't found
any other NPCs besides mine so far. I'm creating the bosmer hunters
atm.

The door to the ship was locked intentionally (the player needs a key
to open it which they only get by completing the main quest). The door
to the cave may simply be that it wasn't connected (is there a cave
interior cell in the CS?)
Do any NPCs appear in the CS?

as for the landscape..
the islands has no LOD as far as I know..
EDIT: I remember the first time I played the mod, there was not land, only trees..
problem fixed by moving the valenwood esm. on top..
As for the voice acting.
a tread has been made on the old CUT forums.
lets hope for some replys..
- oh, and yes, ibsens ghost did a lot of voice work for us..
one more thing,, I remember long time ago when I played in the islands,
I started a quest called "the desperate collector" which didn't seem to
have a ending, since the quest giver told me to go to silvernar..
- I just wanted to tell.
plus, there still is some unfinished interiors..
and I also noticed a cave made with the vanilla tile exterior, shouldnt that be switched in with the spider cave tile exterior??
I have have not seen any other quests than "the desperate collector"
but I remember a seing a quest about a bow, being discussed on these forums..
EDIT2: just remembered a huge bug I found long time ago..
the palms can be picked up. and dropped agian?? WTF?
another bug: some trees dosent have any collusion..
third bug: a lot of floating trees can be found thourgh out the isles.

Great. Can you set it so that the hunters run away when they get
wounded below a certain level (otherwise it just wouldn't make sense
the Chieftain speaking to the player if they've just killed 8 of his
friends)

You have a Valenwood .esm?
This could solve our problem. Can you upload it for us?
As for the other things you mentioned, you're right on both counts. The
cave needs to be replaced with the spider tileset and anything that
refers to the mainland should be cut out (for now) |

This could explain it all...
If the valenwood islands are part of the height map which is contained
in the .esm and don't have a separate heightmap of their own, that
would explain why it doesn't display in the game (because even though
the landscape is loaded in the .esp it's still waiting for the .esm to
call in...)

Do you have the Oblivion Mod Manager? That's the easiest way in my experience to change the load order.

Excellent! You've just made my day! I was afraid this was going to be a real problem.
At some point we are going to need to merge those two .esm files before
we make a release, as well as make a .bsa archive of all the meshes and
textures. But there are people here at Silgrad Tower who can do that
for us.
In the meantime, can I have some screenshots (ATM my copy of Oblivion's
having difficulties). I'd love to see how this version compares to the
one in the old video. |

Really? I use vista as well and have no problems... I just hit ctrl+F12. Then again I am running it on a mac...
Don't worry about it. Please just show me some screens in the CS of
your progress on the quests from time to time - I'd love to see how it
all turns out.

I have include 3 female bosmer hunters. That's all that comes to my
mind atm. I'm sure there'll be a lot more once I'm done with the main
quest.
