I would like to direct your attention to this new mod project:

http://vivec.forumotion.net/community-f5...proposal-t1.htm

The forums are not very active ATM but they have threads on the Bethsoft forums and seem to be quite committed.

Basically this is a mod which will recreate the city of Vivec during the period of the Oblivion crisis, adding in new quests, interiors and everything else we've come to expect from good mods. They have no plans to recreate the rest of Vvardenfell, and as such they are a perfect match for your project to recreate Balmora and Phitt's remake of Sheogorad.

They have already made the canton mesh and texture:

I have already talked to the project leader and he seems very receptive towards the idea of making our two mods compatible. What do you think?

It looks good and it takes some work away for this project.

Hi Deeza. I had spoken to 'This One' on the issue. It was my understanding that their team wanted to keep their own focus with Vivec (which is fine), and when the player had finished the quest line the rest of the island was there to explore. I am not sure where the collabration was going to take place, I assumed it was in sharing assets as a mod confined to Vivec is not a collaboration.

I reiterated what Razorwing has said on the issue of ST Assets and the use of them outside of this forum. I also wished him the best of luck in their endevor.

I am not really sure what else I could have said to them.

As I understood it, the "collaboration" was actually nothing to do with sharing assets - it was simply to make the mods compatible with each other really (ie. make sure they don't contradict each other in a major story-related way so that players can install both and enjoy them together).

I actually think its better that there's two separate projects as it's one less thing for us to finish.

Well I dont think there was any issue with them creating vivec as they saw fit. It is a good size project and plenty to do else where. But I also didn't see much in the way of interest in the rest of the project which is what we are about(a project as a whole) not just Vivec.

Basically the reason I brought it up was to avoid us later on starting to do Vivec when someone else is already working on it, that's all. :)
