Chitin Armory work - discussion |
|
I have tried to start this as a way t start things up and get our
production up... besides land Vvardenfell is gonna need armor and
weapons as well (not to mention creatures and such)...
so I dunno but would it be possible for you guys to help out and maybe
try to find pro-modeling sites and ask for volunteers, and such? I've
asked on ESForums and I think I got like 4 people or so... I'll be
getting busier and busier soon and also searching around for a good
PC... wish me luck...
but please direct people to our website, our forum, the sign-up thread,
the Visual Developement thread @ Silgrad (cause us and Silgrad are
gonna be sharing stuff, it wouldn't be nice if they gave us lots of
architecture and we withheld armors) and also our own chitin armory
thread in our forums...
I also have this second thread going on ESForums... here,
maybe you guys can also post there now and then to reply to their
questions and also in the process bumping the thread up incase it
starts to get lost... the last thread got locked cause I did all the
bumping so if we keep it varied and also more relevant then it can stay
on the 1st or 2nd page or so...
EDIT:
which means participate and help bump it, but not saying "[bump]" but actually conversational ya know
also I qould like to discuss what you think of the chitin modeling
project and what things we can improve, who we can recruit, etc. My
experience in modeling is limited so I need all of ya together so we
can figure it all out
Thanks

I think bonemold (heavy armour, there is no medium in TES4) is equally as important to model, as is netch leather.
Also, should we have TES3 iron and steel armour and weapons, or at least somewhat similar?

I'd say 5 *s is most important and 1 is least...
and within the armors ones with the # are higher priority...
mostly cause these appeared in Morrowind. Given the time and resources,
we want to do them all of course. IF have to we can prioritize... but I
think the chitinous, the bonemold, and the hides are the biggest
material-sets.
Chitin material*****
- Chitin Armor (Blue-Chitin, Red Chitin) #
- Shalk-chitin Armor (Green Shalk-chitin)
- Nix-hide Armor (Rogue Nix-Hide Armor)
- Armiger Armor
- Ordinator #
Carapace Material****
- Dreugh Armor #
- Land Dreugh Armor
- Kwama Armor (cuirass, greaves)
Hide/Skin material*****
- Netch Leather Armor #
- Boiled Netch Leather Armor #
- Layered Netch Leather
- Blackened Netch Leather
- Durzog-hide Armor
- Altsaasan Hide (cuirass, greaves)
- Orcish Leather (cuirass)
Bonemold material*****
- Bonemold #
- Dagoth Bonemold
- Indoril Bonemold
- Armun-An Bonemold #
- Gah-Julan Bonemold #
- Dres Bonemold
Metal material**
- Adamantium #
- Royal Guard #
- Templar Knight Armor #
- Imperial Silver Armor #
- Centurion Armor #
- Orcish Chainmail
- Orcish Plate Armor
- Dragonscale (cuirass)
Glass/Volcanic material****
- Dunmeri Ebony Armor
- Dunmeri Glass Armor #
Other***
- Sadrith Armor
- Trollbone Armor (cuirass) #

Hmm... I'd think that we'd want to tweak the model for the shalk and Nix variations myself... Beetle chitin... Hmm...

Their armor rating should be indeed similiar opposed to other ones like steel as in TES:3
