EDIT: Remeber this is all due to change at some point but for now it holds true

now I understand thi sis not a Real-Time-Strategy game, but I think if I outline the main forces we can organize the war better. Plus we want to make it SEEM like large masses of soldiery are marching and attacking. Thus planning it out as such but finding ways to present it in an Role-Playing-Game will help make everything more realistic...

Helseth Alliance
Great House Hlaalu
This Great House plans to defend its farmers in the Ascadian and use it's superior numbers to overwhelm the Redoran. The Hlaalu were crippled in a way since Dagoth Ur had illed many of the Imperial-supporting Nobles who also tended to have good general-training from the Imperial Legions, however they have replaced them with mercenary generals. They have secure supply-line and devote most fo the own forces to defending their supplies and economical areas while having a portion of their own fol and a large numbers of mercenaries do the real fighting. Though they have a larger force than the Redoran, their army is mostly mercenary and only as loyal as the pay. They plan to outlast and outproduce the Redooran as they mercenary army ravages the West Gash.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Gnaar Mok Army
This is a predominantly mercenary army that is gathering near Gnaar Mok. It is being trained and prepared for a fast attack into the West Gash. It is the largest Hlaalu army.
    Ascadian Army
The Ascadian Army is a mostly Hlaalu army, made up of local Hlaalu, Velothi, as well as mainlanders. This is the strongest Hlaalu army and is to protect the Ascadian Isles.
    Stonewood Warband
This raiding-force is purely Hlaalu and will travel up Foyada Mamaea periodically to raid Ald-ruhn as it rebuilds.
  • Minor Military Forces:
(Odai Plateau Garrison, Balmora Garrison, Suran Militia, Nothryon Militia)
Sheogorad Nords
  • The Nords have recolonized much of the Sheogorad by using Solstheim as a staging point. Now they are ready for war. They have two groups as well as many small raiding parties. Thei main focus is crushing the Valenvaryon Orcs early on, enabling them to raid Redoran and Telvanni without leaving their two main towns open to invasion.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Sheogorad Army
The army of the Sheogorad is ready to overrun Rotheran and then strike Valenvaryon. These are the more Morrowind-style Nord, having adapted their style and culture to northern Vvardenfell. However these are the most experienced fighters amongst the Sheogorad Nords.
    Redaynia Army
The Felsaad Army is a collection of Slstheim and Skyrim Nords who are encamped near Ald Redaynia. They are more numerous than the Sheogorad Nords but are less experienced in fighting on Vvardenfell.
  • Minor Military Forces:
    (Ald-Redaynia Militia, Dagon Fel Militia)
Dres Warlords
  • Main Military Forces:
    Dres Warband
  • Minor Military Forces:
(Ald Sotha Garrison, Bal Fell Garrison)
Morrowind Legion
  • The Morrowind Legion has been deployed and is stationed in strategic areas. However there are three main Legions, one to invade Ald-ruhn, another to strike the Telvanni from Fire-watch, and another for guarding the Ascadian Isles.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Seyda-Fredaid Legion
The name means Passage-Protection. This Legion watches the pass near Seyda Neen and is ready to intercept enemy forces headed to Balmora or pushing into the western Ascadian Isles. However the main purpose and trainging for this Legion is the invasion of the Redoran.
    Molag-Doldig Legion
This is the Morrowind Legion at Firewatch and the name of the Legion means Fire-watch. This Legion is different from most in that its troops aren't from the displaced folk on the Hlaalu-Indoril-Dres borders but Velothi, rogue Telvanni, and Cyrodiilics who feel that this Megion can be a new life for them. It is poised to rush through Tel Molhin, Tel Mora, and then Tel Vos.
    Mol-daelkhun Legion
This Legion's name means Dark-heart. It is station on the isle south of Ebonheart. This is the most powerful Legion of the Morrowind Legion and is made up of displaced Indoril and Dres folk who had lived along the Thir River. Now they have become the foremost of the Morrowind Legions. It is ready to protect the Ascadian Isles at any cost.
    Minor Military Forces:
(Moonmoth Garrison, East Ascadian Garrison, Pelagiad Garrison, Firemoth Garrison)
Mages Guild
  • Main Military Forces:
    Battlemage Corp.
This is a predominantly Breton force of Battlemages. They are to be used against the Telvanni in open battle and will be heavily armed and armored, thus able to fight in a long frontline battle.
    Spellsword Corp.
This is a predominantly Atlmeri force of spellswords and they will be used to counter attacks and to skirmish. They aren't as heavy as the Battlemages and cannot stand frontline battle as well but they bear sophisticated weaponry such as atanas and would be good for special operations.
    Mages Corp.
This is a mixed branch of Mages that are not of any specific military bacground. They are the common trooper in the mage-sense and will be actively fighting with Telvanni.
House League
Great House Redoran
The Redoran plan to muster large numbers of Gashland locals to engage in guerilla warfare in the defense of their homes. Meanwhile proffesional Redoran forces will try to make a fast war on the Hlaalu by using two armies to neutralize Caldera, and then Balmora and Moonmoth. They plan to divert the smaller but stronger Ascadian army with their forces at Marandus. Thei hope lies in their superior quality and they hope to strike quickly to force the Hlaalu to surrender. They do know of a gathering Hlaalu mercenary army, but do not know where it is stationed.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Ashland Army
The Ashland Army is the strongest Redoran force on Vvardenfell. It is not only well-armed bonemold wearing infantry but also Guar-cavalry and specialized forces including hirelings. It is second to the Gashland army in quantity but second to none on Vvardenfell in quality.
    Gashland Army
The Gashland army is the largest Redoran army. However it is not the most experienced but relies on large numbers of lightly armored and well-trained Redoran. mant of these are actually Velothi who hope to earn their place in Redoran society by fighting for their Great House.
    Nabia Warband
This force is garrisoned in Marandus and is ready to storm Suran to divert Hlaalu forces.
  • Minor Military Forces:
(North Gash Militia, West Gash Militia, Maar Gan Militia, Ald-ruhn Garrison)
Great House Telvanni
The Telvanni know their forces are smaller than the other House-forces and in addition are realying on mercenaries to increase their numbers. However they have very disciplined and versatile forces and hope to bide their time and use guerilla-warfare to hold bac their enemies until their forces are finished mustering and can go on the offensive. They also have a giant Dwemer War-golem in construction but it is a top-secret and only a few of the highest Telvanni now of it. Their hope lies in stalling their enemies and then a quick the cripple them, allowing their Ashlander allies to take up the war-front once the Telvanni are exhausted.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Azura's Coast Army
This is the southern army and the smallest. It is made up of Betmeri auxiliaries, Telvanni, and outcast Ashlanders. However its purpose is to buy time for the larger armies to arrive.
    Zafirbel Bay Army
This is a Telvanni-mercenary army. It is most well known for its Bosmeri archer companies. This army is stationed on Tel Aruhn and Sadrith Mora, and is ready to be deployed.
    Vos-Oad Bal Army
This is the combined forces of Vos, Tel Mohlin, and various mainland forces. This is the largest Telvanni force and is also purely Dunmer as they draw recruits from Dunmer populations.
  • Minor Military Forces:
(Sadrith Mora Garrison, Tel Vos Garrison, Tel Branora Garrison)
Ashlander Tribes
The Tribes are making a critical decision in allying with the Redoran and Telvanni. They could either come out victorius and respected, or lose an entire generation, and possibly be wiped out. They hope to help the Redoran in beating the Hlaalu very quickly, as well as helping the Telvanni survive long enough to fully mobilize their forces.
  • Main Military Forces:
    Ashland Warband
This is an Urshilaku-led Warband that will help the Redoran in pushing into the contested Caldera area of South Gash. Also should the Ashlands be invaded, the Ashland Warband will help the Redoran in defense.
    Grazeland Warband
The Grazeland Warband is the largest and led by the Yakaridan and supplied by the Zainab. They will help protect the Telvanni from the Morrowind Legion in Firewatch and also protect the northern shore from Nords.
    Molag Amur Warband
The Molag Amur Warband is led by the Erabenimsun and is the strongest though no tthe largest. These warriors are the most seasoned and will be an offensive force to raid the Ascadian isles.
  • Minor Military Forces:
    (Samsi River Warband, Sadrith-Morash Warband)
Pariah Kingdoms
  • Main Military Forces:
    Orsi-Citha Army
Literally the Orc-hills army, this is an army statione din the northern hills. They are poised to strike Ald-Redaynia and perhaps fall back to Valenvaryon if the need be. Also, they maybe help reinforce the Redoran Ashland Army.
    Goblin Warband
The Goblin Warband is poised to strike Dagon Fel. It is a large force but not well equipped though the numbers and feriocity can make up for shoddy gear of the goblins.
    Bitter Coast Warband
This is the gathered force of Argonians near Hlormaren and and ready to strike either Gnaar Mok, Hla Oad, or the Odai. This is a raider/guerilla force and can quickyl disperse into the marshes.
    South Coast Warband
The South Coast Argonian warband is ready to strike Seyda Neen. It is also trained to infiltrate Firemoth and take th Morrowind Legion's district headquarters.
  • Minor Military Forces:
(Rotheran Garrison, Valenvaryon Garrison, Hlormaren Garrison)
Indoril Refugees
  • Main Military Forces:
    Indoril Warband
  • Minor Military Forces:
    (Telasero Garrison, Molag Amur Garrison)

Who would the slaves side with? Would one side make any slave that pledges and does fight for their side a free beast? Would one side try to make the slaves (especially the Hlaalu plantation slaves) revolt? I thought that goblins could only be controlled by the Altmer, or just often used by them, something like that. Do the Indoril refugees have Vivec (city), if so, would there be a major battle between the forces of Ebonheart and Vivec (city). Where does Vivec stand on this, is he neutral? Where do the Fighters'/Theives' Guilds stand? The Commona Tong are Hlaalu, aren't they? Wouldn't the Morag Tong be used to settle disputes, if not, who's side are they on, neutral? Showdown at Sadrith Mora/Wolverine Hall between Telvanni and Imperial forces. I like the idea of a slave rebellion or revolt that you initiate as a quest. Guar-cavalry, I like it. I thought Ald-ruhn got Kvatch'd, so where is the Redoran seat? How can the Telvanni overcome the assassinations within their own house long enough to defeat anyone? I like the idea. Perhaps the Twin Lamps could make an appearance.
You make no sense.
Welcome, and don't post like that again Lord Twidus Big Grin

Slaves? what slaves? they got freed ya know. There are many who decided to go home, many who sided with Hlaalu and Helseth who freed them. And many who feel compelled to join Telvanni and Redoran. Actually this is mostly Aryon's work, getting friendly with slaves by helping them with freedom and a new life but on the condition of being in alliance...

Altmer use them in their armies to greatly bolster their numbers. But plenty of them in the Wrothgarian Mts. helping out the Orcs. And I bet a few groups shipwrecked from Helseth's importation attempts.

Indorils don't own Vivec, Vivec owns Vivec City. Indoril live there.

Where does Vivec stand on this, is he neutral?
He does take a stance, the Temple will just help out the common people, those hardest hit by war

Where do the Fighters'/Theives' Guilds stand?
Thieves Guild is almost dead (because of Camonna Tong) and the declining Fighters Guild and Legion have been joined in Vvardenfell by decree of the Duke (Vedam Dren) to form a Guard Guild that provides government guards for a fee. This ensures Dren's influence, a government guard instead of House ones which will increase nationalism and conflict, and also provides a small flow of cash. Also helps prevent helseth's forces from gaining all infuence over Imperial/Hlaalu areas.

The Commona Tong are Hlaalu, aren't they?

mostly Dres and Hlaalu. Quite a few in Indoril but biggest in Dres and Hlaalu. Redoran and Telvanni have little to do with Camonna

Wouldn't the Morag Tong be used to settle disputes, if not, who's side are they on, neutral?

They are neutral, they aren't on any side. The thing is, the small House Wars and duels won't be able to hold back the inevitable war.

Showdown at Sadrith Mora/Wolverine Hall between Telvanni and Imperial forces.

Is that a question or a statement?
yes there COULD be war, but actually the Imperials leased that land from the Telvanni so their right to stay there is only cause they pay gold.

...thanks?

The Redoran seat of power is Ald-Ruhn. In TES4 Vvardenfell, a lot of it got destroyed but is being rebuilt. This is causing the hardy Redoran to come together and be more centralized, desperate, and war-like to meet their needs in these dark times.

Their function is over, slavery is abolished. There are a few illegal slaves here and there but the Twin Lamps doesn't have much to do right now.
Imperial Guard Divisons

Ebonheart Royal Guard

This is the Regiment that is based in Ebonheart and only answers to Duke Vedam and Frald the White they are the most powerful Imperial Guard Guild regiment on Vvardenfell.

Ald-Ruhn Fortifed Regiment

This is the second biggest regiment that answers Percius and keeps peace around the Ald-ruhn area.

Wolverin Hall Armed Regiment

This is a very small regiment that only has enough troops to enforce peace in the small village of Wolverine hall if war erupts between them and the House Telvanni their only chance of survival is to hold in the keep and wait for reinforcements.
I disagree for several reasons...
[1] Duke Vedam Dren isn't making an army. He's trying to make a guard/policing force to keep the peace and try to prevent war from breaking out. Therefore it isn't an army, only squads of trained guards and single hired-guards
[2] Warband and Cavalry and Army are bad descriptions for groups no bigger than regiments (at the largest). Also, these are GUARDS, not soldiers... they are defensive, not warbands...
[3]by making an army the Duke will instigate war, by making a polcicing force, he tries to provide security to stop war from happening

however I think an Ebonheart Guard is ok. It will be like the Roman's Urban Cohort. The Ebonheart Guard division can be like an elite force of guards and police for Ebonheart. Remember Ebonyknight, the Guard Guild is not used in war unless the town/people they guard are under attack. Plus their training has been defensive. Legionnaire training on Vvardenfell has been to fortify and hold strong points not offensive as that is disastrous in Ashlands that they are unfamiliar in. Fighters Guild has been small time work. Therefore forming them into an army is tough, especially when half has a background in small-time mercenary work, and the other half in defensive Legion work. However both can work well in a police and civil-protector environment. That is their capacity.
Ill rename them into regiments and what notSmile
Oops, sorry about all those mistakes. Don't post like what?
