As the topic says, when I try to put the modles from,
STIDCandleBlackBowlRed01Orange128 ---> STIDCandleRedSkinny04Orange64,
in the CS, it craches. Anyone else have this problem?

P.S I have not tried them all but roughly 1 of each sort, not all radiuses...
I had this problem a time ago. My solution is to place the static candles and replace it by use the search and replace command from the CS with the actual lights.
Since this is still a problem, I'll just redo all of the NIFs and resave all of the DDS files. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what will.
Can someone who experiences this bug try the attached files? The archive contains updated versions of only the black and the blue candle NIFs.
Will do tomorrow...I'll reply then, if no one beats me to it that is...
I tested them briefly the other day and quickly came to the conclusion that they act weird. I can load a cell with one of those candles just fine, but if I try to drop one of them in the world window the CS crashes. (At least the ones I tried.) I haven't seen models act that way before, being stable if they're already placed but unstable when added. But I concluded the problem must have stemmed from the nifs being saved with a faulty version of Nifskope, and that wasn't something I could fix. I'm not saying I'm 100% sure that is the reason but from what I know it seems like the most logical explanation.

So the only solutions I could see was either that they be removed and the instances placed in the world replaced with stock candles, or that the originals were retextured again and saved with a stable version of Nifskope. I'd hate to see the candles go for several reasons, and at the same time it's not really my place to resave them, so I just let it be. I'm glad to hear you're committing to making them work TID Smile
It didn't work, I tried about 15 times with different candles and didn't work...
I guess that leaves the textures, but I don't know what could be wrong with them. Confusedhrug: It's a very strange problem. :confused: I'll have a look sometime later tomorrow.
Let's start with what is the most likely problem. I attached some grayscale glow-maps. If the candles work after installing these, the glow maps were the problem. If they don't, we'll have to try something else. Maybe replacing all of the textures with default Oblivion ones and seeing if that works.
Hey, if it works the candles won't make the CS crash anymore. Big Grin
