Ordinators

I will need ideas for:
-quest ideas
-new Ordinator dialgue Big Grin
-more ideas in general

Quote:"The Ordinators are the holy guards and soldiers of the Temple. The four orders of Ordinators answer to the Alma Rula in Almalexia. Grandmaster Berel Sala is the chief Ordinator on Vvardenfell. The Order of the Watch provides guards for temples and shrines. The Order of War fights the enemies of the Temple; most War Ordinators are stationed near Red Mountain. The Order of Doctrine and Ordination are militant scholars. The Order of the Inquisition identifies and suppresses heresy among priests and laymen."
Alma Rula is the head of the Ordinators. She is in Mournhold (Almalexia). Berel Sala is the leader of Ordinators on Vvardenfell. So basically, there are the guards, the secret police, the trainers, the warriors, and the secret police...

a few pointers about Ordinators:
  • Bethesda originally intended Ordinators to have katanas, not ebony maces or whatever
  • Ordinators have arbitrary power; they are sometimes uncontrollable by Temple officials and clergy
  • The best are High Ordinators, some of them were in a love relationship with Almalexia: the Her Hands
  • Ordinators will go on quests, like the one who died in Kogoruhn... and had the "Hair Shirt of Aralor"

The Order of the Watch
On Vvardenfell, these guys are supposed to guard Vivec City and every Temple on the island. Therefore I think we should have two Ordinator Guards in each Temple. More should be given to Temples with special Shrines like the one in Maar Gan for example. Vivec should be swamped with them.
The Order of War
On Vvardenfell, these guys garrison fortresses like Molag Mar and Ghostgate. They are also present on Lie Rock (Baar Dan). They are the warriors and an elite corps wields bound-weapons and wears a distinctive robe. Often the Elite Ordinators are deployed to eliminate extremely dangerous targets such as the Sheogorad Cult in Ald Daedroth.
The Order of Doctrine and Ordination
These are military historians and scholars and probably trainers also. Retired Ordinators can find an occupation this way.
The Order of Inquisition
These Ordinators wear a slightly different version of the Ordinator armor. These also have a different robe. They are inquisitors and hutn down heretics where ever they may be. They are adept at torture, killing, spying, and taking prisoners. They have even been able to interrogate Ascended Sleepers, a testament of their profficiency.

Ranks:
Inspirant, Humbled One, Holy Guard, Solemn One, Zealot, Seasoned One, Elite Ordinator, Cohort Officer*, Commander*, Grand Commander*
*or you can switch from Elite into Purger, Inquisitor, then Grand Inquisitor

Quest givers:
Berel Sala: The Grand Commander himself. Though growing older now, he is an experienced soldier, general, and politician. He is pious in the extreme and will have you go on dangerous quests for him to help Ordinators clear out Daedric Shrines, necromancer towers, and the like after you have become a Seasoned One.
Selmen Relas: Is the head of the Ordinators at Ghostgate. He now leads periodic raids on Sixth House poisitons on Red Mountain. His quests will involve the killing of dreamers, sleepers, and the like.
Elam Andas: He is incharge of Vivec City security. His quests will cater towards getting rid of Cammona Tong and other gangs liek the Bemis gang from Vivec.
Tarer Braryn: This is one commander in the Office of the Watch in Vivec. He oversees the guardianship of the Vvardenfell Temples. He often runs into trouble when he goes to the bar in his free time.
Grand Inquisitor: this skilled Ordinator is the Grand Inquisitor of Vvardenfell district. He is not to be trifled with. Also he will give you several orders and quests before you can become the Grand Inquisitor should you choose that path.

We need another spy faction, because being an inquisitor is damn cool
of course you need to go through all the hard working part... but them you can choose to be hardcorse military or hardcore secret police! AND you're holy!

...hehehe :brew:
There was an extensive thread for this at one point in the TR forums. You might try that for specific ideas. I blieve they only really covered early training stuff. Basically, there was a test for each of the orders that had to be passed before recieving your armor and first real assignment. Some were rather complex, involving dialogue-based examinations of the sacred texts for the Order of Doctrine. They also discussed have a couple of boring guard duties that you had to sit through for the Order of the Watch (these would be a LOT easier to pull off with RAI as thefts and such wouldn't necessarily have to be scripted and there would be other things happening around on their own to distract). For the Order of the Inquisition, somebody had an interesting idea about having a limited time setup where you were placed in a room with a number of people and through clever questions and observation had to discover which was a heretic. The Order of War, off course would have some fun raid-type thing. From that point, you'd be Ordinated and given some duties at Vivec, Ghostgate, maybe some heretic-hunting or vampire-slaying, whatever.
I've read somewhere that faith is used by man to juytify their killing urge.
Perhaps it applies here... ?
hold the silt strider for a second. Only one HER HAND was in love with Alma, and thats the reason hes dead....

The tribunal (if we go by all tes3 main quests) is practically dead, only Vivec remains. Though an excuse for the absence of Alma (she's a recluse now) it's easily known that Sotha is dead. Since the ordinators are pawns of Almalexia, they have no leader now. So i think they will now try to take more power and turn into a morrowind mafia. Or the temple could crumble completely.
It's more likely that they will crumble.
Thought so. So i guess the ordinators are now just going to be another Great House really, or a subdivison of Indoril
no... they are the Temple... probabl bigger than any Great House in power and support
I know that, they will stay, but their power will decrease since they have been reduced from 3 pillars on which to keep a temple to one. And I can easily see the ordinators jumping ship since they aren't pawns of the temple in reality. The temple is just a medium for them to complete their agendas
