True. What I meant was, we can use this excuse to get away with having larger sewers than a city this size would normally have. I'd like to avoid (or at least justify) this situation:

Good point!
The castle is now pretty much complete, it just needs to be peopled with servants, sinister mute guards and the very creepy (and possibly vampiric) Governor himself. I have included numerous access points to the "Hall of a Thousand Arches" beneath the castle, as well as a passageway into the ruins of Castle Giovese, now the city's prison.
Sweet! Looking forward to seeing it. Did you make full use of the Gideon banners, btw? Koniption provided us with animated ones for blowing in the breeze outside.
I only found the static ones. I guess the others could be added quite quickly though, since my esp doesn't actually modify the exterior (apart from I accidentally moved one of the castle towers, would that cause a conflict?)
I'm not sure about the Castle towers...probably only an issue if part of the mesh sticks out or clashes with another or, if I'm being pedantic, puts the symmetry of the structure out of alignment.

Np about the animated banners. They wouldn't really animate indoors anyway...
I'm going to archive this thread to keep the open claims clean. I'll later make a list of all the interiors that still need NPCs in Gideon.

That's probably not needed as I've been keeping track: Claim: Unfinished AI and NPCs . I just added Gideon Castle to the list. However, specific details on specific NPCs such as the whole retinue of the Castle may need embellishment, I guess.
Hey,

Since this topic was brought to my attention by IG, I'm going to post real quick.

Castle Giovese (or is it Giovesse?) seems interesting, although I take it that these are ruins actually. So the question is how can we convert it to a fully operating castle? Perhaps moving the prison to one of the lower levels is an option. It's doable.

We would need to discuss it further, but at a first glance I don't see any major obstacles.

Let me also mention that we're sort of jumping from one topic to the other quite quickly. Too much is not good. I'd rather we pick a location and stick to it, so I could focus on it, start planning more in-depth, start working on it, laying things down etc etc.
It depends on which job you fancy most: Longmont or this one. I'd recommend this one personally because it's definitely going to feature in the beta. In which case, stick with this thread.

As I mentioned via PM, the castle set that I got the link for from Deeza should be a great replacement of the temporary castle I set up at the North of Gideon's outer walls. However, if you take a look at it then you should be able to see that it answers your question automatically.

Basically, the Castle that lies in the middle at the North end of Gideon is a proper Castle using the vanilla Castle set. However, I figured there would be a door on the Northern side of the Castle that perhaps led to a tiny garden that permitted access to the dungeons. This is where your 'Castle' comes in. Whereas once it was used as a Palace, it is now rundown and converted into a dungeon. If you use stroti's Castle (with unique interiors) here then you have your own unique location.

Whatever you place beneath this is up to you but some kind of small sewer / ruin network sounds suitable. We can also place whatever creature it is that is terrorising Gideon at night down there.

Btw, Castle Giovese (with that spelling) is referred to in several Elder Scrolls lore documents so it was granted a degree of importance when we discovered it (I think LadyNerevar pointed it out originally).
