I've had a quick go at the approach road to Dune as a test piece for my new road textures. The textures are a derivative of the vanilla cobblestone ones, with the cobbles "browned" a bit and sandy dirt in the gaps. This is the "dry" version - there's a darker brown set for the damper areas. The cobbles should only be used near settlements - in between will be just he dirt road texture you can see in the foreground of the top image below.
The road textures will be in the next update which I want to get out real soon now.
The road to Dune follows the edge of a ridge, and Dune itself is cut into the side of the hill at the north end - top centre of the bottom pic. Not much to see there until we get the city wall set.
Anyway: a couple of screenies for flavour.
