I just had a thought...the Aldmer wouldn't speek cyrodilic, they would speak purley elven, then a thought came to me to over come this, why doesn't when you come to aldmeris a spell gets cast over you so everything gets translated in your head, it would fix a lot of problems with translating all dialouge into elven Wink

Anyway just another idea,

Perhaps for actual speaking, the voice would sound elven and speak elven words, but we have english subtitles. For wording in books, I'd say we just use Cyrodiilic words, its really the only way.

Translating everything into elven would be the most time consuming thing imaginable, also about books I think it would be better to have those in elven, like dwarven or daedric books.

It would be time consuming, I'm sure what we should do in this case, and if all the books are in elven, then how will we be able to read them?

I'm not sure if that would work, because if you look at our current dictionary, you'll see that the words have multiple meanings.

I think there's a way of forcing subtitles, but how to explain how the player knows the language? Maybe part of yet another prophecy? The outsider who can speak the elven tongue?

Well, I suggest that you develop their language and create unique elven words, dialect, sayings, ect. but in the end still have them speak Cyrodiliic (English). Basically just say a spell was cast on the player so he can understand them, or something to that effect.
