They can be found throughout Aldmeris, but most common around Vovols. Pahses (Doom Hound [literally, Hound of Death]) Note on all Aldmeric hounds (Pahi): Aldmeric "Hounds" do not completely resemble our concept of a dog; they do quite a bit though. They stand the same height as most dogs, but have significantly longer snouts, and crocodilian teeth. Their skull also has a projection, which resembles a rudimentary horn. Aldmeric hounds are also much cleverer than dogs. Pahses stand five feet tall at the shoulder. Most have a coat of solid, dark gray fur, but some have black, light gray, and there have been some albino Pahses. This is the only strain of Pahi that retains the sharp ridge along the front of the horn, a trait lost to evolution to all other Pahi. The Vesmerkaz tame Pahses for combat, law enforcement, home protection, and as beasts of burden.
